Luckily for all of us, there was far more information to have mentioned from the last ten years than we could have included in this brief survey. That's why our lists for each year are not intended to be exhaustive, but are instead snapshots of different memorable moments that included the representation of lesbians and bisexual women in film, television, music, literature, comics, sports and the Internet since the year 2000.

Get More on Gaga:
It's sad but true: every primetime series is on hiatus until 2010. Before the calendar flips, though, let's take a look back.
So far, the TV Fanatic staff has reported on the season's ups and downs of The Vampire Diaries and 90210.
Up now: House.
Best Character: Dr. Robert Wilson. He may be television's overall Mvp through haf a season. Always great for witty one-liners and unique insight into his Bff, House, Wilson has emerged this season as more of a main player. Heck, the drama dedicated its final episode in 2009 entire to the character.
It was one of our favorite hours of TV this season.
Worst Character: Dr. Eric Foreman. Or, perhaps, we should say: Dr. Eric BOREman. Seriously, the character has barely evolved in over five years. He's still dead serious, still a watered down version of House. You'd think entering into a relationship with someone as gorgeous as Thirteen »

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart still refused to open up about the nature of their relationship, but they have been once again spotted enjoying their time together. On Wednesday night, December 16, the "Twilight Saga" stars were caught having a private date night in Venice Beach, E! Online reported.
That night, the alleged lovebirds were allegedly seen having dinner together at Gjelina restaurant on Abbot Kinney. Later, they headed to a party to celebrate the opening of fashion boutique and eyewear store A. Kinney Court, which was also attended by some celebs, such as Owen Wilson, Zach Galifianakis, and Olivia Wilde.
Of Pattinson and Stewart, an insider said, "Robert and Kristen were eating next door and peaked in the window after their dinner as the party was wrapping up." The insider went on, "Kristen was wearing an old white T-shirt with her hair in a ponytail. Rob was wearing jeans, a tee and a dark coat. »

Disney have released a brand new banner for the sequel to 1982 classic, Tron which made household names of Jeff Bridges and was directed by Steven Lisberger. This new movie is set for release this time next year and has a cast which, as well as Bridges contains Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, Bruce Boxleitner, James Frain, Beau Garrett and Michael Sheen. This new banner goes along nicely with the first poster and image that HeyUGuys were first to release last week.
The new banner was released to a random selection of fans from the official Tron Facebook FanPage which you can click here to join. (we have a FanPage here too if you’d like to join us). We’ve placed the image below for your viewing pleasure.

Above you will see the new banner for Disney’s upcoming 3D action flick Tron Legacy and like the previous marketing we’ve seen for the film, it looks very, very cool. The banner was originally released to ten lucky Tron Legacy Facebook fans who won the Tron Legacy Facebook contest we told you about last week, but now we all get to enjoy it. My only question about the banner is why did they leave out the word “Legacy”? Hopefully folks looking at this online will understand it’s a sequel and not a 3D remake of the original.
For those just tuning in, here’s the official synopsis:

In 2009, the number of leading lesbian characters on primetime broadcast TV doubled — from one to two.
Out of the estimated 600 lead and supporting characters on network TV, seven of them of are lesbian or bisexual. And of those seven, five of them kissed women last year. And of those five, three of them made out during Sweeps.
Things looked bleak at the beginning of the year, but with the growing trend of lesbian brides getting gunned down or cheating on their wedding days, and the continued trend of bisexual characters only expressing their same-sex attraction during Sweeps, and the loss of Showtime's lesbian drama The L Word, we're ending the year on a downward spiral in terms of lesbian visibility.
