For the first time in almost two decades, a new, weekly live music series will kick off on MTV. The Wonderland TV show premieres live, Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 11:00pm Et/8:00pm Pt. Fox has partnered with electronic music producer Paul Oakenfold and TV4 Entertainment to create and broadcast a new event — the ‘Electronic Music Awards and Foundation’ show, which will air Saturday, April 23 at 8 p.m. on the network.
The inaugural show is set to feature electronic music’s leading artists, creatives and executives, celebrating the early trailblazers and icons of the genre, as well as the top-trending acts of the industry today. The event is expected to feature red carpet coverage, awards presentations, interviews and live performances from electronic music’s biggest artists.
“I’m thrilled to be a part of an awards show that finally both recognizes and celebrates, on a primetime platform, one of the biggest music genres in the world today,” said Oakenfold, who will serve as executive producer on the show along with Paul Duddridge, TV4’s Head of Entertainment Productions, and TV4 CEO Jon Cody.
