The 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver was greeted warmly despite the chilly weather.

The U.S. started off strong with its first gold medal on Saturday, Feb. 13, courtesy of women's freestyle skier Hannah Kearney.

Evan Lysacek, Lindsay Vonn, Apolo Ohno, Bode Miller, Shaun White, Julia Mancuso and Johnny Spillane also took home some hardware for the United States.

Before Sunday night's (Feb. 28)  closing ceremonies, the hockey gold had to be determined. After USA tied things up 24.4 seconds before the final period, the game went into sudden death overtime. After a close game, Canada's Sidney Crosby scored the winning goal, and USA went home with silver.

USA took home the most medals overall, 37, but Canada got the most golds, 14.

The 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver was greeted warmly despite the chilly weather.

The U.S. started off strong with its first gold medal on Saturday, Feb. 13, courtesy of women's freestyle skier Hannah Kearney.

Evan Lysacek, Lindsay Vonn, Apolo Ohno, Bode Miller, Shaun White, Julia Mancuso and Seth Wescott also took home some hardware the United States.

Saturday (Feb. 27) saw the United States win its first gold medal in the four-man bobsled in 62 years, thanks to driver Steve Holcomb and his team. The U.S. still has the overall medal lead, but Canada now has the most gold medals with 13.
