Once Upon a Time faced its latest test at Comic-Con panel on Saturday, when it presented its “rebooted” season seven for the fans in San Diego -- the first without several of its departed original series regulars.

But things got off to a rocky start when a vocal fan yelled out at the top of the panel, “Why?!,” likely referencing the cast shakeup, which saw the exits of Jennifer Morrison, Ginnifer Goodwin, Josh Dallas and Emilie de Ravin. Moderator Yvette Nicole Brown shut down the fan, warning the passionate audience that negativity was going to be condoned.

Some “Once Upon a Time” fans are not happy with losing a number of key cast members ahead of Season 7, and voicing that angst is exactly what they did during a San Diego Comic-Con panel on Saturday. The ABC drama series’ team took part in the panel, where things got off to a bumpy start when an attendee shouted, “Why?” This was an apparent reference to the network announcing in May that the show’s upcoming run would be without such core cast members as Ginnifer Goodwin (Snow), Josh Dallas (Charming) and Jennifer Morrison (Emma). Review: DC Super Hero Girls: Intergalactic Games

25 May 2017 2:38 PM, PDT | Comicmix.com | See recent Comicmix news »

What a great time to be a grandparent (or so I’m told). There are now plenty of books, games, clothing, and video to encourage girls to be strong and independent. DC Comics offers up their Super Hero Girls line and this week they have released their second animated feature, DC Super Hero Girls: Intergalactic Games, a 77-minute romp.

Writer Shea Fontana improves on the first offering with a story set at the Intergalactic Games where Earth’s powered women take on the vile challengers from Korugar Academy. To prepare for the competition Academy teacher Doc Magnus (Phil Lamarr) is building battlebots and supervising Batgirl (Mae Whitman) and Bumblebee (Teala Dunn) as they build their own. Principal Waller (Yvette Nicole Brown) is not amused nor is she happy that Magnus’ bots seem to have free will but were not programmed with any morality, a theme that plays out across the 77-minute fast-paced story. »

‘The Good Doctor,’ ‘The Gospel of Kevin,’ ‘Alex, Inc.’: ABC Fall TV Trailers, Ranked and Reviewed

16 May 2017 3:51 PM, PDT | Indiewire | See recent Indiewire news »

Upfronts trailers are always tricky things. Movie previews have a hard enough time selling a 90-minute movie in two minutes. Convincing people to get excited about an entire season of television is another.

As ABC’s fall lineup hinted at earlier today, it’s a male-heavy new slate of shows, but there’s always more below the surface. We’ve gathered our thoughts on these nine new sneak peeks and ranked them for your perusal.

“Ten Days in the Valley”

Kyra Sedgwick plays Jane, a single mom who’s woken in the middle of the night for an urgent script rewrite, and when she comes back to bed…her daughter…is gone! While the implication that moms will be punished for working hard isn’t ideal, we were ready to forgive anything for the great Kyra Sedgwick. But then, well, the tagline flashed across the screen: “What happens when fiction becomes all too real? »
