Let’s Not Call Channing Tatum a ‘Stromo’ — ‘Straight Homo’

25 June 2015 3:42 PM, PDT | Vulture | See recent Vulture news »

Former RuPaul's Drag Race judge and current THR writer Merle Ginsberg has noticed that a lot of straight male stars lately seem kind of, well, gay. And they're like totally cool with it. Her evidence? Adam Levine likes to wear V-necks! Tom Hardy said he experimented with boys! Channing Tatum danced on a gay pride float! "Straight male stars aren't stressed out at being perceived as gay or extremely gay-friendly," she writes in a piece for THR. What fiend hides behind the rise of Michelle Visage? And why is everyone on the judges panel so blurry? Well, now we know. Sort of.

In Ru Hollywood Stories, the remaining queens had to summon up their acting skills to give us three separate versions of how Hollywood Reporter’s sharp-tongued Ginsberg came to be replaced in Ru’s harem by Visage. Exegesis is not an exact science, and while the ladies tried their »

The 5 Best Moments From RuPaul’s Drag Race

7 April 2015 5:34 AM, PDT | Vulture | See recent Vulture news »

As we enter into the sixth episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race’s seventh season, the show seems to be losing momentum in a significant way. The girls seem tired by the challenges and in desperate need of a pick-me-up. It’s not a great place for them to exist in, given that we’re nearly halfway through the season, but at this point, you have to hope that we’ll eventually get rid of most of the dead weight soon, and then things will magically transform into a magnificent competition of only the best of the best. Right? Right?! Probably not.And Then There’s MerleTonight’s maxi challenge centered around the return of founding RuPaul’s Drag Race judge Merle Ginsberg. Ginsberg was replaced by Michelle Visage after the first two seasons of the show, with no real explanation as to why she left. (Though given that Tyra Sanchez won season two, »
