- Born June 15, 1981, Andrew Hyde was born in Louisville, Kentucky and shortly after moved to Lexington where he attended Tates Creek High School. Andrew was a nationally competitive cheerleader for over 12 years with school and an All Star Program. He is a former National Champion and has been ranked top 5 in the nation 9 times. In 2004, Andrew won the IMTA International Male Dancer of the Year in Los Angeles.
He began acting in theater as a child where he appeared in over 35 plays and musicals. At 19, he was a stunt performer in Orlando at the Pirate Adventure were he was trained in high falls, stage combat and sword fighting. Andrew also spent his days as an actor on the JAWS Attraction at Universal Studios.
After he was finished working in Orlando, he moved back home to Kentucky to attend Eastern Kentucky University. Shortly thereafter he was cast on the third season of CBS's, "The Amazing Race," which went on to win an Emmy award (http://www.imdb.com/SearchBios?award) for Best Reality Competition. Andrew has been in 5 independent films and has appeared in national and local commercials as well as modeled in various catalogs in the U.S. and Europe. He has also been seen in U.S.A. Today, Entertainment Weekly, The Advocate, and Instinct Magazine among others.
Currently (Early 2008) he works full time in HIV testing and counseling in Dayton, Ohio and is traveling the country working on a Gay Travel Series, as host, titled Take On! being released in the Summer '08.
Andrew is also known for his work as a public speaker bringing attention and education to Gay and Lesbian Youth causes.
