Shamed Hollywood private investigator Anthony Pellicano has entered a not guilty plea over claims he threatened a Los Angeles Times journalist who reported on one of his clients.
Pellicano, along with revered Hollywood lawyer Terry Christensen, were convicted last year of breaking the law while acting for high-profile clients.
The detective was convicted of wiretapping and Christensen was found guilty of aiding and abetting a wiretap. He was sentenced to three years in jail in November while Pellicano started a 15-year stretch behind bars a month later.
And on Wednesday the disgraced detective was up in front of a Los Angeles judge again for allegedly hiring Alexander Proctor to threaten L.A. Times' Anita Busch.
Prosecutors told the court that in 2002, Proctor - on Pellicano's orders - had placed a dead fish with a rose in its mouth on the bonnet of Busch's car, put a bullet-sized hole in her windshield, and wrote a note saying 'Stop'.
Both men pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy and making criminal threats.
The incident allegedly occurred after Busch wrote about the financial woes of Hollywood agent Michael Ovitz - one of Pellicano's powerful clients at the time.

Michael Ovitz should officially hand over the keys of the kingdom to a fast-talking, trash-mouthed, steam-rolling successor to his Hollywood dominion.
It is a rare moment in time and space that allows Ariel Zev Emanuel to hold the kind of power that even Ovitz could only dream about, chronicled today on the front page of the New York Times and concurrently noted by Kim Masters at the Daily Beast.

After snatching up the William Morris Agency, Rahm’s younger brother is vying to become the next industry strongman -- but does he have the muscle?
By Kim Masters
Hollywood hasn’t had a real strongman since Michael Ovitz built up the Creative Artists Agency in the 1980s and called the shots from his sleek I.M. Pei-designed headquarters in Beverly Hills.
There’s been such a long gap since he took a fatal step by accepting the No. 2 job at Disney in 1995 that a person had to wonder whether nature really did abhor this particular vacuum.
