The Office: Is Jim Halpert Getting Married?

18 December 2008 11:05 AM, PST | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

America's most eligible bachelor may be getting hitched—and soon! But settle down, fangirls. Even though John Krasinski was just spotted on what appeared to be a date to the movies with rumored girlfriend Emily Blunt, implying that he may well be off the market, the wedding we're talking about is on TV, on that awesome little show called The Office. After a rocky start, Jim and Pam are happily engaged. Jim bought a house for her and everything is going beautifully. So the next step has to be a wedding, right? Well, happily, there's a new piece of casting that makes me think Pam and Jim might be getting married sooner than we think... Yesterday, The Office posted a casting notice for a »

"The Great Buck Howard" trailer

15 December 2008 10:16 PM, PST | Upcoming-Movies.com | See recent Upcoming-Movies.com news »

If you haven't already, we suggest you check out the trailer for Magnolia Pictures' "The Great Buck Howard" comedy drama starring John Malkovich, Colin Hanks, Emily Blunt, Adam Scott, Matthew Gray Gubler, George Takei and Griffin Dunne. The film is helmed and written by Sean McGinly ("Two Days," "Brothers") and opens on March 20th next year. To the untrained eye, The Great Buck Howard (John Malkovich) may seem like a magician… but he's not. He's a mentalist. In his own humble opinion, his talents go far beyond mere sleight of hand; he can read minds, and is capable of hypnotizing an entire room full of people at once. But when Troy Gable (Colin Hanks) tries to explain to his Dad (Tom Hanks) why he dropped out of law school to work for a mentalist, it doesn't go over very well. In fact, it doesn't go over at all. »

Wolfman Moves To November 6th, 2009!

10 December 2008 8:05 AM, PST | iconsoffright.com | See recent Icons of Fright news »

As reported a few weeks back, it appears that Universal's upcoming remake of their classic monster flick The Wolfman has been pushed from it's April 3rd release date all the way to November 6th, 2009. No word on why Universal's delaying the picture. Maybe it'll fare better in the post-Halloween season? Shock Till You Drop suggests that there's still an ongoing debate about how to handle the werewolf transformation. (Rick Baker won the Oscar for An American Werewolf In London, so Universal should just let him do it his way rather then rely on CGI as most sources are suggesting they're planning.)

The new update of the classic Universal monster is being helmed by director Joe Johnston from a script by Andrew Kevin Walker (SE7EN) & David Self and stars Benicio Del Toro (Sin City), Anthony Hopkins (The Silence Of The Lambs), Emily Blunt (Wind Chill) & Hugo Weaving (V For Vendetta). ID expands to London

1 December 2008 10:00 AM, PST | The Hollywood Reporter | See recent The Hollywood Reporter news »

While some firms are contracting, PR firm ID is undergoing an expansion, opening up a London office and shoring up its emerging platforms department.

Rupert Fowler will head up the London office, which opened this week. Fowler joins the company as vp after six years with Public Eye Communications, and clients such as James McAvoy and Emily Blunt are expected to follow him.

With ID already repping numerous British and European names, it made sense for the company to have a presence in that part of the world.

Meanwhile, Natalie Lent will head ID's emerging platform department, focusing on social media, blog and microblogging strategy, mobile technology, viral marketing and digital content creation. Lent formerly headed the marketing team behind the multi-award-winning "Burma: It Can't Wait" viral campaign as well as previous roles at new-media marketing agency Fanscape and The Intelligence Group.

Cameron, Salma, and More Honor Real Life Heroes

24 November 2008 8:30 AM, PST | Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news »

While the American Music Awards had our full attention last night, another set of stars came together on Saturday night in La for CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute. Justin Timberlake's ex-girlfriend, Cameron Diaz looked beautiful in basic black, while his current girl Jessica Biel looked equally fabulous in her strapless number. Sexy Salma Hayek stood out in an eye-catching colored dress while the guys didn't disappoint either — Hugh Jackman lived up to his new title of Sexiest Man Alive and John Legend looked hot as he performed on stage. John Krasinski's smile is always a treat as well, even if Emily Blunt gets to see it the most these days. As for the real life heroes, we can find out more about them when the event airs on CNN on Thanksgiving. Jason Reitman Picks His Next Juno

21 November 2008 4:02 PM, PST | Cinematical | See recent Cinematical news »

What does last year's most talked-about teen flick have in common with this year's most talked-about pre-teen flick? Here's a hint: A director and an actress. Yes, Juno director Jason Reitman has finally chosen the female lead for his follow-up flick Up in the Air -- based on Walter Kim's (Thumbsucker) 2001 novel -- and he's chosen none other than Anna Kendrick. Who? Oh wait, I forgot to put this next to her name: Twilight actress Anna Kendrick.

The Hollywood Reporter tells us that Kendrick, who played one of Bella's friends in the poetic vamp tale, beat out other actresses like Emily Blunt and Juno herself, Ellen Page. Go figure! In the film, Kendrick will play "a young woman who finds herself pulled into the orbit of a "career transition counselor" (i.e. professional firer) careening through the airless world of business travel." Oh, and that "career transition counselor" will be played by George Clooney. »

Twilight Actress Hits The Big Time

21 November 2008 9:04 AM, PST | cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news »

I found myself feeling bad for the kids who play Bella's friends in Twilight given that they were generally ignored in favor of a smoking hot vampire. But it turns out one of them wasn't just sitting around and waiting for Bella to hang out with her again. Anna Kendrick, who plays Jessica in this weekend's movie, has landed the lead role in Up in the Air, opposite none other than George Clooney. The Hollywood Reporter says Kendrick beat out big-name actresses like Ellen Page and Emily Blunt for the role, playing a woman who "finds herself pulled into the orbit of a "career transition counselor" (i.e. professional firer) careening through the airless world of business travel." Clooney, I presume, is the professional firer. Jason Reitman is directing, which makes it even more impressive that Kendrick beat out Page for the part. If she's really good in this, we'll »
