- Only brother (John) and sister mixed doubles team to play in the Wimbledon tennis tournament final (1981). They were defeated 4-6, 7-6(2), 6-3 by Fred McMillan and Betty Stöve.
- On August 3, 1989, she was driving in the township of Millburn, NJ, and was taking a left turn when a van coming from the opposite direction slammed into her driver side. She suffered heart and spleen contusions, a sprained back and a shattered knee, into which she had to have a screw inserted. Her professional career was effectively over at age 26.
