Channel 4 show attracts fewer viewers than original series on BBC4 as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit beats it

The second series of the American version of Danish drama hit The Killing began with fewer viewers on Channel 4 than the original series had on BBC4.

The Killing Us – which features Mireille Enos as detective Sarah Linden – launched with just over 700,000 viewers, a 3.9% share, between 10pm and 10.55pm on Wednesday.

BBC4's second series of The Killing – starring Sofie Gråbøl as detective Sarah Lund – began with 815,000 viewers in November last year.

The Us version of the show took the lead when Channel 4+1 is included – but only just – with a total audience of 817,000.

On Channel 4 the second season returned with a fraction of the total audience of 2.4 million who watched the double episode opener of the first series of The Killing Us in July last year.

The Voice Recap: The Heartbreak Kids

13 March 2012 7:10 AM, PDT | TVLine.com | See recent TVLine.com news »

There were so many impossible matchups on this week’s Voice “Battle Rounds,” with our four coaches selecting some of their most-promising acts for head-to-head vocal duels, that I half-wondered if other painful choices were imminent: Cut either crazy Cee Lo or his ridiculous fluffy cat. Pledge allegiance to Adam and his comfy sweater (somebody tell me they sell it at Target!) or Blake and his Hank Hill drawl. Join #TeamXtina’sLeftBreast or #TeamXtina’sRightBreast.

It didn’t have to be this way, of course. I mean, why did Blake have to pit Charlotte Sometimes against Lex Land just because both ladies have sultry-eerie voices? »

Jaimie Etkin: 'The Voice' Recap: Fan Favorites Head Home In Battle Rounds Part 2

13 March 2012 12:24 AM, PDT | Aol TV. | See recent Aol TV. news »

Though we were largely underwhelmed by last week's Battle Rounds on "The Voice," the second installment this week certainly made up for it. (Note: Speaking of making things up, henceforth, the judges/coaches will be referred to as coadges. It'll catch on.)

But Battle Rounds, Week 2 also brought two competitive duets that tore our hearts out because we loved both contestants so much. Who's moving on after adorable family band singer Whitney Myers and Chaka Khan doppleganger Kim Yarbrough took on some Mary J. Blige? And after the battle of the best friend hipsters, Jamar Rogers and Jamie Lono, who is popping PBRs and moving on to the live shows?

Read on to find out (and be prepared to be gut-wrenched)...

Team: Christina

Why Don't You Know Them?

Amy Childs, Katie Price, Robbie Williams, Sarah Harding. If those names don't ring a bell, don't worry. You didn't skip a page (or five) while perusing the latest supermarket tabloids. These are the names that rule pop culture on the other side of the pond.

That's right. Don't be fooled by their fancy accents and vast vocabularies: the British are actually at least as celebrity-mad as their American cousins. In the U.K., as in Hollywood, the paparazzi run rampant and tabloids document every move of the public's favorite actors, singers and reality-tv train wrecks.

But what exactly does the celebrity scene look like in a land without Kardashians? Our friends at HuffPost Celebrity U.K. helped us break down the British equivalents of America's most famous fantasy objects.
