15 June 2009 8:30 PM, PDT | From Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news

"Gossip Girl" has a big chance to walk out with multiple prizes at this year's Teen Choice Awards after getting 10 nominations, both for the series and the cast. Almost all the main actors such as Penn Badgley, Ed Westwick, Leighton Meester and Blake Lively grab one each. The CW series is one of the top scorers of the whole nominations list after "Twilight" which dominates with 12 nods.

Right behind "Gossip Girl" in terms of number is "American Idol". Scoring 7 nominations in total, the reality singing competition earns among others through its judge Simon Cowell, host Ryan Seacrest, and two recent contestants, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen. It additionally takes the nomination for Choice Tour.

Also pocketing noms are Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato who score through their Disney shows, "Hannah Montana" and "Sonny with a Chance" respectively. Miley in particular has 10 nods when accumulated with the feature movie version of "Hannah". She tweeted,

By now, you've probably heard that Kris Allen took home the coveted "American Idol" crown last night. You've probably already Tweeted about the news and shared your two cents via your Facebook status. Well, many celebrities did the same thing. From former "Idol" runner-up David Archuleta to Emmy Rossum, stars took to their Twitter accounts late last night and early this morning. Some were enraged (Diablo Cody), some were apathetic (Pink) and some showed love for both Adam and Kris.

Jordin Sparks told MTV News earlier this season that she just couldn't choose a favorite contestant. Well, the season-six "Idol" winner stayed consistent and when the final name was called, Sparks wrote, "Yaaaaay Kris!!! Yaaaaaaay Adam!!! Omg. Nice. Okay. Goodnight. :)"

Jessica Biel's Stripper Moves in 'Powder Blue'

4 April 2009 8:13 AM, PDT | From GetTheBigPicture.net | See recent Get The Big Picture news

Yesterday around this time, we showed you the latest trailer for Powder Blue, the long-awaited movie in which Jessica Biel plays a stripper. The movie won't get a huge theatrical push, debuting later this month in a few cities before pushing its resources towards the DVD release.

Obviously, if you have a movie that can in any way be described with the words "Jessica Biel" and "stripper," the DVD market is probably the way to go. To help plant the seed that this Holy Grail of celebrity skin is on the way, the film was recently promoted on Access Hollywood. It goes without saying that this is a fairly tame video, because when has anything associated with Mario Lopez been anything other than tame?

Having said that, if you would be at all interested in seeing Jessica Biel train to play a stripper, then why are you still reading?

Smirnoff Sues Texas Restaurant

1 February 2009 5:25 PM, PST | From wenn.com | See recent WENN news

Dancing With The Stars world champion dancer Karina Smirnoff has filed suit against a Texas restaurant for allegedly failing to pay her appearance fees. The Ukrainian star - who has partnered with country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and R&B star Mario on the U.S. reality TV competition - allegedly made an agreement with San Antonio's Panchito's Restaurant for $6,000 (£4,285) to appear at a benefit on 3 January for infant health charity March of Dimes.

Smirnoff's attorney Michael Miller says, "They said, 'It wasn't a very good business deal on our part. We didn't make any money on it, so we don't have any money to pay her."

Restaurant bosses reportedly deny making a financial agreement.

An attorney representing the firm's owner has declined to comment.
