Last week, Universal Pictures released the first trailer for their highly-anticipated comedy sequel Ted 2, just days after the first poster debuted. Fortunately, fans don't have to wait much longer for even more footage, with the studio releasing a new trailer during Super Bowl Xlix on NBC. First Official Trailer For ‘Ted 2′

29 January 2015 12:01 PM, PST | The Hollywood News | See recent The Hollywood News news »

Seth Macfarlane’s A Million Ways To Die In The West, may have underperformed in the eyes of audiences and critics. However, the hilariously opinionated and outspoken star still struck gold with his 2012 smash hit comedy behemoth, Ted. After Universal Studios received over ten times the budget of their R rated production in ticket sales, it came as little surprise to learn that Ted 2 was on the horizon.

Not only did the original film manage to make Mark Wahlberg an A-list, household name, but it also effectively demonstrated that Macfarlane’s crude comedy style can translate to the big screen with ease. With Family Guy, American Dad and… *ahem* The Cleveland Show , all proving that their is indeed a huge market for this particular brand of humour, it seems strange that it has taken this long for Macfarlane to make the jump to the big screen.

An Important Civil Rights Trial and Semen-Based Slapstick Unite in the First Ted 2 Trailer

29 January 2015 10:24 AM, PST | FilmSchoolRejects.com | See recent FilmSchoolRejects news »

A few days ahead of a promised teaser ad airing during the Super Bowl, the first full trailer for Ted 2 has arrived online. The comedy sequel is apparently a courtroom movie, in which the titular talking bear (voiced by writer/director Seth MacFarlane) has to defend his personhood in order to have a child with his new wife (Jessica Barth). So, it’s a civil rights issue film, albeit one that skips over using marriage equality as the obvious parallel. Of course, this is also a Ted movie so it’s not so serious. We begin with the clarification that the bear can’t actually impregnate his beloved, so he recruits his buddy John (Mark Wahlberg) as a sperm surrogate. That gives them an excuse for some slippery semen-based slapstick. I’m guessing in the actual movie, it’s not all off-screen as it is in the ad. And the gross-out scenario probably goes much, much »

The first trailer for "Ted 2"is finally here -- and it's just as dirty as you would expect!   The highly-anticipated sequel is co-written and directed by Seth MacFarlane and again features Mark Wahlberg as John Bennett, whose best friend is his foul-mouthed teddy bear Ted (MacFarlane), brought magically to life by John’s childhood wish.In the sequel, Ted and Tami-Lynn (Jessica Barth) want to have a baby, but in order to qualify to be a parent, Ted will have to prove he’s a person in a court of law. But first, they need to find a sperm donor (because Ted is… you know… a bear). Morgan Freeman plays a civil rights lawyer who represents Ted in court, and Liam Neeson also has a role in the story.Sorry, Mila Kunis fans -- she won't be playing the female lead this time around -- Amanda Seyfried is taking her place. »

First Trailer For Ted 2 Finds The Thunder Buddies In A Spot Of Legal Trouble

29 January 2015 9:51 AM, PST | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Hot on the fuzzy heels of Tuesday’s tongue-in-cheek poster is the first full-length trailer for Seth MacFarlane’s comedy sequel, Ted 2.

Reuniting The Gambler star Mark Wahlberg with his pint-sized companion, the clip sees the thunder buddies in a spot of legal bother with Ted having to prove his credentials as human by providing a valuable contribution to society (okay, stop sniggering at the back). Such a predicament will see the dynamic, foul-mouthed duo encounter Morgan Freeman’s sharp-suited lawyer and Amanda Seyfried’s Samantha Lesley Jackson — cue the comparisons to a certain other Samuel L. Jackson.

It’s the latter star who will also turn out to be a love interest for Wahlberg’s John Bennett — in lieu of Mila Kunis — while Ted encounters relationship quandaries of his own when he and his new wife make plans to have a baby. Interestingly, Liam Nesson is absent from this newly-released trailer, »

Ted 2 Trailer Slides Online

The teaser poster effectively foretold this event and the day has arrived at last: the first trailer for Seth MacFarlane’s Ted 2 is upon us. Prepare to look upon jokes about semen, legal briefs, Samuel L. Jackson and more… Naturally inclined to indulge in more toy bear-comes-to-life madness after the 2012 film was a massive success at the box office, the sequel sees co-writer director/voice of Ted MacFarlane and human sidekick Mark Wahlberg back for a lot more body fluid humour in the story of Ted’s attempt to prove he’s a person in the eyes of the law.Our furry hero, see, has married his girlfriend Tami-Lynn (Jessica Barth) and now the pair wants to have a baby. There are just two tiny impediments to this plan: Ted has no... how to put this tastefully… swimmers... and so will need the help of Wahlberg’s John as a donor. »

Watch: First 'Ted 2' Trailer Delivers More of the Same

29 January 2015 8:28 AM, PST | Rope of Silicon | See recent Rope Of Silicon news »

I feel as if I was one of the few that didn't really like Seth MacFarlane's Ted, a film that wore out its welcome about 30 minutes in and continued for another 76. Now, thanks to everyone that disagreed with me the foul-mouthed anthropomorphic teddy bear is back in Ted 2 and the first trailer has just dropped, promising more of the same as semen is spilled on the floor and into Mark Wahlberg's eyes... hardy, har, har. Joining Wahlberg with MacFarlane again providing the voice of the titular Ted are Amanda Seyfried, Mila Kunis, Patrick Warburton, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Jessica Barth and Dennis Haysbert. Apparently the plot will revolve around Ted getting married and wanting to start a family, thus you get into a situation where there's a need for a sperm donor and then Ted needs to prove he's a "person". New Teaser Poster For Seth MacFarlane’s Ted 2 Is As Cheeky As You’d Expect

Come summer, there are plenty of blockbusters that will be vying for your hard-earned money and time, and 2015 is certainly shaping up to be one of the busiest seasons in recent memory. But situated among the bombastic action and high-profile reboots is Seth MacFarlane’s comedy sequel Ted 2, which recently debuted a new teaser poster ahead of the very first trailer on Thursday.

As one would expect, the image is about as on the nose as they come, hinting at the second coming of everyone’s favourite foul-talking stuffed animal. For the follow-up, MacFarlane’s brash bear will reunite with Mark Wahlberg’s John Bennett (thunder buddies for life, remember) for another bout of belly-tickling mayhem. Much like his multi-tasking on Family Guy and American Dad, MacFarlane will write and produce the raunchy sequel, which has a particular brand of expectation resting on its fuzzy shoulders.
