Dawn Lorraine Fraser (born 4 September 1937) is an Australian freestyle champion swimmer and former politician. She is one of only three swimmers to have won the same Olympic event three times - in her case the women's 100-metre freestyle. After the Australian Swimming Union banned her for 10 years, she retired from swimming in 1965. She was accused of climbing a flagpole at 'Emperor Hirohito''s palace and taking the Olympic flag during the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokio, which later proved false. See more »
