Hamid was born and raised in Baton Rouge Louisiana. His mother was born and raised in New Orleans and father from Tehran. His family ancestry is traced back to his mother's family in Marseille France. On his fathers side Persia, present day Iran. Growing up he always immersed himself around diverse people and cultures which shaped his love for people, languages, and stories.

Some days you just have to look outside and believe anything is possible. You have to look inside yourself and let the best version of yourself come up and say I'm right here. My light shines most after I write or read a poem. My light shines bright in the presence of people who are the reason this world is a better place. I believe there is good so I carry myself in that space.
