Armando Riesco is a remarkably versatile NY actor with credits in film, TV, and the stage. He was born and raised in Puerto Rico of Cuban parents and relocated to the US directly after high school. After graduating from Northwestern University's prestigious theater department he re-located to New York City and has been working consistently in multiple genres with some of the best directors in the business (Spike Lee, Oliver Stone, Steven Soderberg, The Farelly brothers, Jonathan Demme etc.)

He has appeared in over a dozen films (Garden State, Adult World), recurring television roles, as well as the stage (Pulitzer Prize winning Water by the Spoonful) and is sought after for his unique and realistic portrayals of characters across the board. From anger fueled Marine, to hilarious trans-sexual, to bored, suburban, and supremely wealthy, Riesco has managed to submerge himself seamlessly into his roles.

He is married to actress Shirley Rumierk with whom he frequently collaborates on their start up production company- Rumando Pando.

Received a Lucille Lortel nomination in 2014 for "Outstanding Lead Actor in a Play" for his work on "The Happiest Song Plays Last" at Second Stage in New York City.
Winner of a 2014 HOLA award for excellence in theater (Outstanding performance by a male actor) for his work in "The Happiest Song Plays Last" in New York City.
