Mini Biography

Farugh Farrokhzad was primarily a poet. Indeed, she is regarded as one of the most important poets of the twentieth century in Iran, which has a millennium of poetic tradition behind it. Although she only made one film, the 22 minute so-called documentary "The House is Black", this work is generally seen as the crucial precursor of the Iranian New Wave.

Fell in love with famous director Ebrahim Golestan.Golestan and his wife separated and he moved to Foroogh's house to live with her.But after months Foroogh was killed in an awful accident and Golestan migrated to Switzerland.

Had a son named Kamiar from her first marriage.

Her brother Fereydoon Farrokhzad was a famous showman who was killed in his apartment in Germany.
