So Best Week Ever.tv has announced that Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, fresh off her "firing" from Melrose Place, has landed a role in the long running Broadway play, Chicago, as the lead character, Roxie Hart.
Mark, you are obviously lying. This is not funny and it is cruel, because nobody in their right mind would put Ashlee Simpson on Broadway.
They said that Whitney Houston was America's Sweetheart and could do no wrong. And look what happened to her. In short, Hell has begun to freeze over so expect pigs to start flying next.
While Simpson-Wentz didn't affect me to a slow screeching death while watching her on Melrose Place, I still can't see how she went from MP trollop to Broadway starlet. Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is said to have acted like a "diva" on the set of Melrose Place. The 25-year-old was recently confirmed to be leaving the CW series along with actor Colin Egglesfield and the pair will make their final appearances in a January episode. It has been suggested that the actress, who played Violet Foster on the reboot, was asked to leave the show because she was "deeply disliked" by her co-stars, Fox News reports. It seems that Katy Perry has done her best to appear in 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards that has been kicked off on Thursday, November 5. Arriving at the O2 Arena in Berlin, Germany, the 25-year-old beauty was seen donning a stunning Marchesa gown, a nude one shoulder draped tulle strapless dress with embroidered ebony flowers.

Just fire them now: Like Grey's Anatomy, Melrose Place now has the problem of real-life events blurring on-camera plot developments. It was difficult enough to take any scene with Colin Egglesfield or Ashlee Simpson seriously before, due to their acting. Now that we know they're leaving the show? Any time spent on Auggie and Violet feels like a waste.

The latest commercial video for Activision's Band Hero video game has made its way out via Internet. 19-year-old Taylor Swift appears in the 30-second clip, donning a skimpy sparkling dress matched with black boots.
At the beginning of the video, the young country music songstress is seen singing part of her single "Love Story" in front of the stairs of a house. Serenading the track, she is joined by Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy, Travis Barker from Blink-182, and Rivers Cuomo from Weezer. The scene then switches to film them rocking to the song on stage.
In the advertisement, the foursome pays tribute to the infamous "Old Time Rock and Roll" scene that is taken from Tom Cruise's 1983 movie "Risky Business". Recently, Pete dished on himself who decided to strip down to his undies in the video, saying "That was so much fun to make."

You guys have been asking and we have you're answer! The whole sugar-coated statement released by "Melrose Place" execs claiming Ashlee Simpson's time on the show was planned to be short then entire time is complete nonsense. According to a very reliable source, it seems Ashlee (Violet on the show) was a total diva. She was always late to work and extremely disliked by her fellow cast members. The network fired her in order to bring a more well known name onboard, that name of course being Heather Locklear. "They basically trimmed the fat and made it possible for Heather to join the show," the source claims. "Heather is a much bigger name than Ashlee", says the source.

We previously posted a short promo video of Heather Locklear's return to Melrose Place, which is scheduled for November 17. Now we have the complete set of promo photos, along with a synopsis (thanks to theCW). It looks like Amanda Woodward will be stirring up trouble right from the get-go. Exactly what this show needs. One question, did we already know that Amanda apparently owned the publicity agency that Ella works at?

As you might expect, The CW is doing everything in its power to hype the return of Heather Locklear.
The actress reprises the classic role of Amanda Woodward on the November 17 episode of Melrose Place, still images from which you can check out now.
The network has also released a new promotional poster, warning fellow characters to watch their backs over the next few months...

Jessica Simpson, who used to promote Ashlee Simpson's TV series "Melrose Place", has changed her tune drastically after her sister was announced to be cut from the show. On Sunday, November 1, she has, through her Twitter page, blasted the drama series, writing "CW catching up on MP.who writes this crap?i have had bad scripts to work with,but this?thank God my sister is amazing and got you some press."
Meanwhile, in the latest issue of Us Weekly magazine that has been available in newsstands, a set insider claimed Ashlee was fired from "Melrose Place" because she cannot act. "They hired her because they needed a good name to help create buzz. But she was embarrassingly bad. Producers cut her down as much as possible," the insider stated. Moreover, another source told the publication, "She's the worst actress, but nobody will tell her."

The fact that Ashlee Simpson's "Melrose Place" character has been written off is pissing her sister Jessica Simpson. The older Simpson wrote on her Twitter, "CW catching up on MP. who writes this crap?i have had bad scripts to work with,but this?thank God my sister is amazing and got you some press."
Ashlee is canned from "Melrose Place" after starring in the new series for several episodes in season 1. When the show was promoting its season premiere, her character Violet was made one of the regulars. Jessica had been keen on promoting the show while Ashlee was still attached, reminding her Twitter followers to watch it on Tuesday nights.
