Hangover 4 Is 100% Never Happening According to Ed Helms

Hangover 4 Is 100% Never Happening According to Ed Helms
There really hasn't been much talk about The Hangover 4, but Ed Helms was recently asked about it anyway to which he replied that it is definitely not ever going to happen. The first movie is iconic and still stands up as one of the greatest comedy movies released in the last 20 years. However, the next 2 movies were critical and box office failures that ended up recycling all of the funny bits from the first movie until they were watered down.

In a new interview with Cine Pop, Ed Helms discussed the possibility of the gang getting back together for The Hangover 4. The actor was adamant that the fourth movie would never happen. And when pressed further and asked about the chances of it happening, Helms simply said, "I'd say the chances of a fourth movie are between zero and zero." For most fans of The Hangover, this is welcoming news

Disney's Prince Charming Movie Targets Perks of Being a Wallflower Director

Disney's Prince Charming Movie Targets Perks of Being a Wallflower Director
Disney is finally moving forward with its long-gestating Prince Charming project, bringing aboard filmmaker Stephen Chbosky to write the script, with an eye towards directing as well. We first reported on this Prince Charming live-action movie back in July 2015, with the studio bringing in writer Matthew Fogel (Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son) to write the script, but we haven't heard any updates on the project since then. Disney still hasn't issued a release date and there is no production schedule at this time, but at least the studio is actually moving forward with this once gestating project.

There is no indication as to whether Stephen Chbosky is simply rewriting or performing a polish on the original script by Matthew Fogel, or if he is conducting an exhaustive page-one rewrite and starting over from scratch. The story for this latest Disney live-action remake will be a revisionist tale, told from

Matt Fogel wrote the initial script for the project, which is a revisionist take on the character popularized in Disney’s own fairy tale movies such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. The story takes a...

Great Job, Internet!: Sorry, but there are definitely going to be more movies about apps

We’re entering a new age of moviemaking. Or, rather, an extension of one in which we’ve already been living; as the New York Times notes in this illuminating new piece, only one of last year’s top 20 grossing movies was based on a wholly original screenplay. Contrast that to 1996, when nine of them were live-action movies with original scripts. The times have already changed, but they’re now they’re beginning to contort. Because what happens when you’re working with existing content is that you begin to run out of it—once you’re rebooting CHiPS as a gay panic comedy, you know you’re running out of content. This breeds desperation.

One of the prime subjects of Alex French’s “How to Make a Movie Out Of Anything— Even A Mindless Phone Game” is Tripp Vinson, a Hollywood producer that’s worked on some ...

That Fruit Ninja Movie is Apparently Still Happening

With The Angry Birds Movie making tons of money at the box office and the ludicrously-named Emojimovie: Express Yourself looming in our near future, it seems like Hollywood executives are looking inside their phones for movie ideas. That pattern continued with an announcement a few months ago that Fruit Ninja would be turned into a new film, and now THR reports that New Line Cinema has acquired the film rights to the fruit slicing game. Sounds like this movie is really going to happen.

Tripp Vinson (San Andreas) is producing, while J.P. Lavin and Chad Damiani (who wrote the upcoming film How to Survive a Garden Gnome Attack) are writing the screenplay. The story "will revolve around a team of misfits who are recruited to become Fruit Ninjas in order to save the world." Sounds an awful lot like Adam Sandler's Pixels...so let's hope, for everyone's sake, that

New Line Acquires Rights To Fruit Ninja Movie

Yeah, Hollywood has a nasty habit of taking really dumb ideas and adapting them to the big screen. Battleship? Stupid. An Emoji movie? Pass! Angry Birds? Bleh!

In Hollywood, brand recognition is perhaps the single most important asset. It doesn’t matter if that brand is fit for the medium. If audiences recognize it, they’re more likely to go see it in theater than, say, Kubo and the Two Strings, a film you’ve never heard of, and are therefore less invested in. It’s because of this fact that this next news piece is no surprise.

According to THR, New Line has acquired the film rights to Fruit Ninja, the mobile game that lets you slice and dice your favorite fruits for no reason other than the fact that it’s strangely rewarding. Producing the flick is Tripp Vinson, one of the guys behind the Journey to the Center of the Earth
