Jason Korn(II)
- Actor
JASON KORN
Born and adopted in Riverside California, actor Jason Korn has used his positive and creative energy to impact his family and friends.
Jason began his classical training in acting at the age of 11. He has played roles in many productions including Shakespearean plays and Stephen Sondheim musicals. His favorite personal performance to date is his role as Donkey in Shrek the Musical, Jason describes this experience as an absolute joy, because "...everyone was always happy and having a great time." But his most memorable performance is when he was selected as one of the youngest members to join the Sacramento Philharmonic and had the honor to perform on stage with Andrea Bocelli, at the Golden One Center, in June 2019.
In 2020, Jason had the opportunity to play the role of the Baker in Into The Woods at Sacramento Theatre Company. Shortly after that production, STC was closed due to Covid 19 restrictions. During the fall term of 2020, Jason's high school drama department produced a virtual performance titled Check Please which was streamed to the public via YouTube, providing Jason with the opportunity to perform via an entirely new platform. Jason eagerly embraced this new acting environment! He played the male lead and was grateful that friends and family had the chance to view this performance, even during a pandemic.
Jason performed in his first show at age five, playing the role of an orphan in a production of Annie. That experience ignited a longing for more acting and he became a regular student in the Music and More theatre program in Auburn, California. Jason's love for the arts and acting skills deepened during his years with Music and More and after studying and performing with M&M for four years, Jason applied and was accepted as a member in the professional acting company, STC (Sacramento Theatre Company). Jason soon became fully driven to follow his dream of being a professional actor.
Jason loves to travel, write music, play music, and be with family and friends. His favorite trip so far is flying to Hawaii with his parents when he was seven-years-old. That experience inspired Jason to learn to play the ukulele, in addition to his primary instruments of piano and guitar. Theatre, music, family, and friends are Jason's lifeblood, and "family comes first" is one of his mottos. He is excited about pursuing his love for performing as a professional actor and musician.
