Trivia:

Comic historian who owned Britain's biggest collection of comics. He was also an authority on British cinema, and authored such major works as the "British Film Catalogue 1895-1985" and "Entertainers in British Films - A Century of Showbiz in the Cinema". He was at the same school as Bob Monkhouse and they gave charity performances together during the war, remaining friends ever since.
