If there’s one reason I love running this website it’s when I get sent movies that I’ve never heard of for review. Sometimes these films are absolutely terrible and in other cases, like with Hirokin: The Last Samurai, they are fantastic hidden gems that deserve to be brought to everyone’s attention.
Set in on a planet where humans must scavenge the post-apocalyptic barren wasteland, the eponymous Hirokin (Bentley) – a reluctant hero with a dark past – sets off on a mission to fulfill his destiny. Having fought to the death to save his wife and son from the planet’s evil dictator, Griffin (Sands), and his elite army of hunters, Hirokin is left for the dead in the desert. Dianna Agron has a little pep in her step as she shops at The Grove on Thursday (April 5) in Los Angeles.
The 25-year-old Glee actress later met up with Gossip Girl's Jessica Szohr and grabbed lunch together at M de Chaya on Melrose Blvd.
Dianna is expected to attend the 2012 Coachella Musical Festival next weekend.
At the festival, GenArt is throwing an event called "Muse", which will showcase artists' inspirations and give partygoers a place to create their own art, dance, listen to live music and DJ sets, eat and have a unique audio and visual experience. Rachel Zoe hit the black carpet in La last night to celebrate Valentino's 50th anniversary at its shop on Rodeo Drive. She stopped for a moment to say hello to pal Molly Sims, who covered her growing stomach in a long black gown. Molly, who married producer Scott Stuber in September, is six months pregnant with her first child. She and Scott expect their first bundle of joy to arrive in June. Molly and Rachel shared space on the carpet with a Lela Rose-clad Kim Kardashian, as well as other starlets like Jessica Stroup, Jessica Szohr, and Ciara. There’ll be a host of fresh faces at Downton Abbey when the show comes back to the UK’s ITV later this year. Details are slight for the moment, but I’ve confirmed Ed Speleers has joined the cast as new footman Jimmy. Speleers, known for 2006′s dragon adventure Eragon, will next be seen with Timothy Spall and Jessica Szohr in the horror comedy Love Bite. Other recent staffers to join the Grantham estate include War Horse‘s Matt Milne as Alfred, a footman who’s also the nephew of is-she-or-isn’t-she-evil lady’s maid O’Brien. Chicago – “I Don’t Know How She Does It” could have been just another misogynistic (you would never see “I Don’t Know How He Does It”…the very title implies sexism) alleged comedy but it goes well beyond that partially because it features one of the worst screenplays of 2011 but also because it is easily one of the most miscast movies ever made. I liked HBO’s “Sex and the City” (not the movies) but Sarah Jessica Parker simply fits this role about as well as Gene Hackman would fit in the co-lead role of the sixth “Fast and the Furious” movie. She’s awkward, uncomfortable, and never once believable. It’s nearly fascinating like a car crash. Instead, it’s just awful.
