New BBC serial killer drama has a gimmick and isn’t afraid to use it. Spoilers ahead in our episode one review…

As a child writing homework stories for year six English, I had a power move: I’d make the last line of a story the same as its title. My gripping home invasion thriller ‘A Hard Night’ thus ended with the main character remarking with some accuracy “It was a hard night.”
You’re right to be impressed.
Year-six-me would, I think, have smiled a special smile had she landed upon the idea of titling a murder tale the word ‘killer’ backwards and then telling the story backwards. She’d...

Scarlett Johansson gives a breathtaking performance as an alien femme fatale in Jonathan Glazer's mesmerising new movie Under the Skin.
Johansson's unnamed character inhabits the body of a young woman in order to lure male hitchhikers to their deaths, as she travels around Glasgow in her white transit van.
The silver screen has a long tradition of both spine-tingling and silly sci-fi seductresses, so prepare to be charmed by a few of our favourites below:
The Astounding She-Monster (1957)
"If you're not too afraid, make a date with a woman you'll never forget... a woman impervious to bullets....The Astounding She Monster!!!" warns the trailer for this 1957 sci-fi horror.
Shirley Kilpatrick played a beautiful yet highly-radioactive alien who lands on earth after accidentally crashing her spaceship. Unbeknownst to her, she's capable of killing with the touch of her delicate, bare hands, and begins stalking and unwittingly harming humans around her.

No wind, no rain, no snow will keep the United States Postal Service from delivering your mail. Now the Usps is launching a clothing line with Wahconah Group, Inc. called "Rain Heat & Snow" to help the government institution stay afloat.
The Postal Service won't have to pay the Cleveland-based Wahconah to create the line of accessories and clothing, though it will get a percentage of the sales. A men's Rain Heat & Snow line is slated to be released in department and specialty stores starting in spring 2014, with a women's line coming after.
"This agreement will put the Postal Service on the cutting edge of functional fashion," Postal Service Corporate Licensing Manager Steven Mills says in a statement. "The main focus will be to produce Rain Heat & Snow apparel and accessories using technology to create 'smart apparel' -- also known as wearable electronics."
Wahconah's CEO Isaac Crawford adds, "The products will...

Though she's known these days as the sweet and innocent Lily on the CBS sitcom "How I Met Your Mother," Alyson Hannigan's biggest contribution to pop culture is indisputably her role as the sweet and not-so-innocent Michelle Flaherty in the "American Pie" franchise.
Her character's big reveal at the climax of the classic 1999 teen comedy, in which the audience's (and protagonist Jim's) perception of her goes from tame to over-the-top with one unforgettable "band camp" story, is a scene that has achieved near mythic status among millennial moviegoers, and we've all got a special place in our hearts for her because of it. However, Hannigan's very first starring role came more than a decade before she rocked Jason Biggs' world, in the sci-fi comedy "My Stepmother Is an Alien."
At the time it was a big career boost for the then 14 year-old actress, who had only appeared briefly...
