President Obama's endorsement of same-sex marriage sent Twitter into overdrive, with celebrities, media personalities and known human rights advocates eager to sound off.
Ellen DeGeneres, Ricky Martin, Neil Patrick Harris and Jane Lynch were just a few of the gay and lesbian celebrities to thank Obama for his "evolved" stance, while Andy Cohen, Suze Orman and Dan Savage also voiced their thoughts.
"Pretty darn happy today," tweeted Lynch, who is married to Lara Embry. "Thanks Mr President, for supporting the dignity of my family and so many others!" Added Harris: "Bravo, Mr. President, and thank you."
In an exclusive statement to HuffPost Gay Voices, Iowa student Zach Wahls -- whose impassioned marriage equality speech became the most-viewed political video on YouTube after going viral twice in 2011 -- noted, "As the son of a same-sex couple from Iowa, and one of the first children born to an openly lesbian parent in the Midwest, »

Los Angeles -- From Miracle Mom to Octomom and now, perhaps very soon, Porno Mom, the bizarre life of Nadya Suleman and her 14 children has been a subject that rarely ceases to amaze.
But with Suleman filing for bankruptcy this week and revealing she owes everyone from her parents to her gardener to her baby-sitters nearly $1 million, could the Octomom Odyssey finally be grinding to an inglorious halt?
Not only is Suleman flat broke, but it has come to light in recent weeks that the La Habra home where she and her children have lived the past two years is about to be put on the auction block.
Last week that home was visited by child welfare officials who had received a tip that Suleman was neglecting her children. They took no action but have said they are continuing to investigate.
Meanwhile, TMZ reported that to make ends meet Suleman »

Out Magazine released its annual "Power 50" list on Friday, which included some of the media industry's most notable figures.
The magazine measured individuals power based on their ability "to influence the way others live -- either through their public personas, politics, or wealth -- and affect cultural and social attitudes."
Topping the list as the second most powerful gay person in America was talk show host Ellen Degeneres. Cable news favorites including MSNBC's Rachel Maddow, CNN's Anderson Cooper and Fox News' Shepard Smith were also ranked within the top ten, placing in the fifth, sixth, and ninth respective spots. Both Cooper and Smith, along with Newsweek/The Daily Beast owner Barry Diller, who placed eighth, have not commented publicly about their sexuality.

The Academy Awards came and went without a win for her screenplay, but there's no question that Kristen Wiig is a hot commodity. The sink-pooping hilarity of Bridesmaids, which she co-wrote over a number of years, has only fueled her rising star as a Saturday Night Live featured player. And there are reports floating that she's planning on leaving SNL at the end of the season.
If so we'll really miss the myriad characters, original and impersonated, that she parades around SNL like someone proud to wear toilet paper on her shoe. To wit, here are some of the biggest hits and misses of Wiig’s SNL career:
The Target Lady
Jazzed by the love of her employer and off her Adhd meds, The Target Lady is a hyper-enthused employee always fleeing her checkout station to score deals she’s found from customers. As a good vehicle for guest stars »

The Oprah Winfrey Network is a sprawling entrepreneurial effort by a woman who some consider to be the greatest pop cuture icon of all time. That begs the question, "So why don't I ever care to watch it?" I'm not necessarily the biggest Oprah fan on the planet, but you'd think her enormous influence would coerce me into a couple of Lifeclasses. I'm gay and stuff. I could dig it, right?
That hasn't been the case. Recently, Opra admitted in an interview with CBS that if she wrote a book about the Own Network, it'd be called 101 Mistakes. That's a little overzealous, I think. If you subtracted 96 mistakes from that book and highlighted the following five issues, you'd uncover the network's true woes.
1. Oprah should never reduce herself to the 50+ demographic.
And now, a comprehensive catalog of The Oprah Winfrey Network's offerings: hour-long Master Class monologues by orators ranging from Ted Turner to Goldie Hawn, »

The Weinstein Company gave the ultimate kiss of to the MPAA when it decided to open the controversial film Bully as unrated versus taking the R-rated. The film opens in Los Angeles and New York in select theaters Friday. Everyone from Suze Orman to Yoko Ono have been tweeting all day of the importance of this documentary about the million of kids bullied in America.
The film has been causing quite a stir in the media for MPAA's decision to rate it R because of six F-bombs in the movie uttered by teens. A petition circulated earlier this month to force the MPAA to rethink their position but to no avail. The Weinstein Company decided to release an un-rated version in Los Angeles and New York before it's initial release as protest to bring awareness to the movie which would otherwise restrict

Everyone has their little show that they love to death. On the TV.com writing staff, Price loves Everyone Must Love Cats and Suze Orman, Seth has a thing for infomercials, and Lily really enjoys settling in with The 700 Club. But for me, the show I can't get enough of is Adult Swim's Eagleheart starring Chris Elliott.
There's 12 minutes of madness in each teeny-tiny episode that airs in the unforgiving hour of midnight on Thursdays. Elliott stars as Chris... More >> »

The "Octomom," Nadya Suleman, was once offered one million dollars to appear in a porn video, but despite having 14 mouths to feed, she took what she considered to be the moral high ground. On the Friday, March 30 episode of "Anderson," Suleman revealed that her recent semi-nude photoshoot for Closer magazine earned her a payday of $8,000.
"I'm being honest I did it for money," she tells Anderson Cooper. "I have to do what I have to do take care of my family. And I'm not ashamed. I'm not ashamed at all. Regardless, you have to learn to let go of everyone's perspective of you because you can not please the world. You have to please God -- he's the only one I have to answer to at the end of the day -- myself and my children. And I have never sacrificed my morals and values. I have laughed at these ridiculous, »

Move over, Cher and get ready to share the spotlight, Madonna. There's a new mononymous diva in Hollywood: Kathy. "We don't need the Griffin anymore, honey," Kathy said. "It's 2012 -- they know it's me."
Yep, Kathy Griffin is moving on up since "My Life on the D-List," the Bravo reality show that earned her two Emmys and a couple of notches on the Hollywood totem pole. After six seasons of "D-List" and 13 Bravo stand-up specials to date (with two more on the way this year, she said, "like a damn fool"), now she's got a new pop culture talk show to solidify her spot on the B+/A- list.
"Kathy" (premieres Thurs., April 19, 10 p.m. Est) is a one-hour weekly talk show that lets Griffin rant about anything and everything, whatever's on her mind, from celebrity to politics. She might sometimes be accompanied by her wine-loving mom, Maggie, and she »

Tax season is once again upon us, and financial expert Suze Orman stopped by The Grove to explain how you can improve on your tax situation by increasing exemptions on your W-4.
Orman said, "Hopefully, you're not getting a refund at all, and I'll tell you why. If you're getting a refund of $3,000, that's $250 a month -- you have credit card debt, wouldn't you rather be getting $250 extra every month and putting it right toward that? »

Good morning!
On last night's Jersey Shore, Vinny struck out when he hit on a lesbian. I wouldn't blame the girl if she just said she was a lesbian so she could get away from him.
Jackie Warner is like the Suze Orman of diets and fitness. Only read what she has to say if you want to get a smackdown. Sugar? Denied.
Out performer LP performed at the Grammy Foundation Show last night and it sounds like she tore the house down. I can't wait to hear her new album. Here she is on the red carpet with Malin Akerman.
Apparently the new Marie Antoinette themed film Farewell, My Queen has some lesbian undertones to it. A reporter at Berlin's Film Fest asked star Diane Kruger if she thinks Marie was gay. Her response:
The way [the director] saw her she is borderline crazy...I don't think she's a lesbian.

Ellen DeGeneres doesn't always address personal stuff on her show, but yesterday she discussed both Prop 8 and the One Million Moms who have been campaigning against her new gig with Jc Penney. Here's what she had to say.

Yahoo's omg! blog took a poll I wasn't aware of and apparently lesbians voted Sandra Bullock as their number one dream date. We should be writing more about Sandy if that's the case!
French handballer Alexandra Lacrabère talked with Yagg.com about being out and how her teammates support her relationship with her girlfriend. As they should!
Marathon swimmer Diana Nyad contributed a great piece about how she does what she does on a Krcw radio show. Did you know she sings a song to herself 5000 times underwater?

Liz Lemon gets business drunk with power and tries to out negotiate Jack Donaghy for the new Tgs contract. But only Jack Donaghy can out negotiate Jack Donaghy. Also, Kenneth visits lesbian financial guru Suze Orman and Jenna and Tracy play a (not werewolf) bar mitzvah. Just another day at 30 Rock.

Not only do we get Suze giving Kenneth career advice, we get the wonderful and very funny Kristen Schaal appearing as Kenneth’s Tgs replacement. So this season already we’ve seen Suze, Kristen, Denise Richards and Emma Stone all appear in small roles. Keep ‘em coming, show. I can’t wait to see what funny lady pops up next.

After realizing that none of his friends -- or at least the people he'd thought of as his friends -- had even noticed his absence during the page strike last week on "30 Rock" (Thu., 8 p.m. Est on NBC), Kenneth staged a new form of protest. He switched page positions with the page who works on "The Suze Orman Show."
Suze Orman, appearing as herself, wasn't too impressed with Kenneth when he laid out his diabolical plan to get his coworkers to miss him. So she gave him some of that tough love she's known for, as well as some sound financial advice. While she couldn't get out of him how old he is -- "Don't worry about it," he responded to that question -- she did learn that he pays 110% of his earnings to his church in tithes, and that he doesn't even know how much he makes.

30 Rock, Season 6, Episode 5, “Today You Are a Man”
Written by Ron Weiner
Directed by Jeff Richmond
Airs Thursdays at 8pm Et on NBC
This week’s 30 Rock seems like an improvement on the season to date, yet it more or less recycles last week’s Kenneth plot. The staff at Tgs didn’t notice Kenneth’s absence when Jack discontinued the page program (didn’t they make a note of his absence during last week’s party scene?), so Kenneth rebels by switching places with another page and instead of Jack realizing how difficult life without Kenneth is like last week we have the writers experiencing the same epiphany. This is helped along by the dependable Kristen Schaal’s appearance as Hazel Wassername. Hazel is Suze Orman’s page at NBC so when she takes over for Kenneth he fills in for her. This leads to an extraordinarily awkward scene with Mrs. »

New York -- A little celebrity competition may be good for the prepaid card market.
Hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons says he plans to trim several fees on his prepaid card, which works like a debit card but isn't linked to a checking account. The announcement comes just weeks after financial guru Suze Orman introduced a prepaid card of her own.
Simmons said the fee cuts are the result of rapidly growing demand for his RushCard. He said the bigger profit margins have given him flexibility to cut fees and roll out new services.
But he noted that Orman's entry in to the market should only fuel that growth and push fees down further. »

Fox Business Network's resident financial expert Gerri Willis threw some shade on Own star Suze Orman's Pre-Paid Debit Card. The consumerist.com reported that Orman's out hawking a pre-paid debit card that is designed to help rebuild credit. Fox Business' Gerri Willis interviewed SmartCredit.com's John Ulzheimer said that while the fees associated with Suze Orman's Approved card are in line with industry norms, that Orman's card was "the best of a bad category or... the cream of the crap." Fees add up: "At the end of the day, it's still $36 a year to have access to your own money," added Ulzheimer.
