Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which is another stacked 10-match card; which is one less match than last week I suppose… On with the review!
Match #1: Marina Shafir def. Sio Nieves
My Thoughts: We’re in quasi-squash territory for this one. Unfortunately Shafir hasn’t lived up to her potential so far but there’s still time for her to develop in matches like this or… Maybe its time to get Shafir a manager as a mouth piece? Her in-rings skills are fine but she seems to get distracted by the storytelling aspects of wrestling.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Ari Daivari def. Ar Fox
My Thoughts: This was a great match between two guys that are always seemingly under most fan’s radar(s). This was a fantastic display of technical wrestling from Daivari and Fox. I may not like Daivari’s new faction but...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the opening salvo in the Aew wrestling week. Once again we’ve got the duo of Tony Schiavone and Mark Henry on commentary this week… Let’s see what the show has to offer!
Match #1: Ruby Soho & Skye Blue def. Nikki Victory & Megan Meyers
My Thoughts: You would’ve expected a squash match here but that’s not what we got. Victory and Meyers instead held their own, for the most part, against Soho and Blue. I really dig Megan Meyers look – the horror fan in me can appreciate another genre fan for sure!
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Parker Boudreaux def. Casey Carrington
My Thoughts: Now This was a squash match! Former Nxt star Parker Boudreaux played the Brock Lesnar card and made short work of Carrington, who only got two hits in before Boudreaux finished him off.

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which features eight matches in less than an hour… now that’s how you keep folks interested, a stacked card and a fast pace! Speaking of pace, let’s get right into the review.
Match #1: Trios Match – Tay Conti, Anna Jay and Red Velvet def. Freya States, Angelica Risk, and Arie Alexander
My Thoughts: This was your typical Aew quasi-squash match only this time in a Trios format. Tay Conti looked strong on the outset until Freya States was tagged in… Speaking of whom, States looks formidable in the ring in terms of height against the other women in this match. She’d be a great addition to the women’s roster Imho, sitting somewhere between Aew’s smaller women and the powerhouses like Nyla Rose and Abadon. I’m hoping we see more from her going forward.
