Trivia (9)

Broke into professional wrestling under the name, Michael Shane. However in 2005 WWE signed another wrestler whose real name is Mike Shane. WWE trademarked the name and Bentley was forced to change his name. All TNA DVD releases featuring matches with Bentley as "Michael Shane" have had the on-screen graphics altered and commentary completely replaced to reflect the name change. One such DVD is the pay-per-view TNA Wrestling: Lockdown (2005), included in the "TNA Anthology: The Epic Set" box set, in which you can still see the name "Michael Shane" on the entrance video playing in the background when he makes his entrance.
Michael worked for WCW a few times, including a match that aired on WCW Worldwide. He also has made appearances for WWE many times, including dark matches and as an extra on TV.
During his time in TNA in 2005, he was accompanied to the ring by Tracy Brooks.
On January 13, 2001, he worked the final ECW show ever in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
Real-life cousin of WWE wrestler Shawn Michaels. Bentley will often use moves that Michaels made famous, such as the top rope elbow drop and sweet chin music.
Worked a tour for FMW in Japan only four months into his career.
Trained at the Texas Wrestling Academy by Shawn Michaels and Rudy Boy Gonzales
Won the NWA-TNA X-Division Championship in the first ever Ultimate X Match against Chris Sabin and Frankie Kazarian
At TNA Wrestling: Turning Point (2005), he and Austin Aries defeated Alex Shelley and Roderick Strong.
