Kabir Khan gets the Indian Army to train 600 actors for Tubelight!

The makers of Tubelight launched the much awaited trailer yesterday and fans are loving it.

We have another cool fact about the film!

As you know and have seen Sohail Khan’s character is an army officer. But what you may not know is that since the film has the Indo-China conflict as its backdrop more than 600 actors were cast to play army personnel.

Director Kabir Khan came up with a unique yet effective idea to get his cast of 600 soldiers to perform with conviction. When he asked the Indian army to train these actors for Tubelight, they happily agreed and took the actors for an intense army training session for a couple of weeks.

They organized a boot camp for the actors and trained them rigorously to make them look like real life soldiers. The actors had a complete transformation and showcased the body language of a soldier that looks completely convincing. »

The theatrical trailer of Tubelight just got released and it is spectacular. The story set during the Indo-China war in 1962 presents the emotional bond between two brothers played by Salman and Sohail Khan. While Sohail’s character Bharat leaves for this unexpected war Salman aka Tubelight awaits his safe return.

The trailer as we said is spectacular and knowing Kabir Khan’s work it is bound to have a unique perspective and deep message. And when Om Puri’s voice echoes in your ear it really makes you miss him.

Tubelight is produced by Salma Khan & Salman Khan and directed by Kabir Khan. It stars Salman Khan, Sohail Khan and Zhu Zhu. It is co-produced by Amar Butala. The executive producer is Rajan Kapoor, the associate producer is Garima Mehta and music is by Pritam. »

Kabir Khan’s work to make the war scenes in Tubelight authentic

We know you are eagerly awaiting to see the full Tubelight trailer, which will release today! To give you a bit more insight, to ramp up your excitement and yes, to hold you over until the trailer hits we have a set of special stills and the story behind the scenes!

As you may know, the backdrop of the film is the Indo-China conflict, and in these stills Sohail, a soldier in the Indian army, puts up a brave front and fights in the unsteady landscapes of Leh and Ladakh.

Director Kabir Khan wanted to keep his locations as authentic as possible and thus chose Leh and Ladakh to shoot the war sequence. The rocky terrains combined with high altitude made it almost impossible to shoot. However, showing unwavering determination, the cast and crew completed the shoot of the film.

The track which is a celebratory song in the film had been shot on a very large scale. It has the touch of the 60’s and required a huge crowd to be dancing on it. Kabir had organised for 200 dancers and about 800 juniors to be part of the song along with Salman Khan.

Cannes: Eros International Expands Its China-India Co-Production Slate

Kabir Khan, director of Indian smash hit “Bajrangi Bhaijaan,” is to shoot travel-related drama “Zookeeper” in the western Chinese city of Chengdu and in the panda-inhabited mountains in that region.

The movie is one of the latest additions to the expanding Chinese-Indian portion of the production slate of Trinity Pictures. Trinity is Indian film giant Eros Intl.’s two-year-old production arm aimed at big-budget franchises.

“Zookeeper” is to be co-produced with China Peacock Mountain and Chinese state-owned firm Huaxia Distribution. The screenplay has been approved by Chinese government censors ahead of a planned production start in 2018.

Director Khan is currently finishing off “Tubelight” with Indian superstars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan and Chinese actress Zhu Zhu. Slated to be released next month, it is expected to be one of the biggest Indian films this year.

Tubelight Is first Bollywood film to have a Facebook Cover Video

Going by the buzz, Tubelight is one film that is breaking records even before its trailer – and it has just added another one! The makers of Tubelight have now joined hands with Facebook to create a cover video for the official film page, a feature that is a first for any Bollywood Film till date!

The cover video features our favourite actor doing the signature hook step from Tubelight’s recently released song Radio which has already taken the industry by storm.

First Song! Radio from Tubelight

The first song from Tubelight has been launched among fans at the Arabian Center in Dubai! Kabir Khan wanted a 60’s feel to the song, so a fictional town Jagatpura was constructed on three acres of land in Film City, Mumbai. Kabir Khan was adamant for the set to look as authentic as possible. This song was shot with the help of 200 dancers and 800 juniors along with Salman Khan.

Composed by the musical genius Pritam, the song has been voiced by Kamaan Khan and Amit Mishra.

Says Salman Khan, “Dada (Pritam) has a knack for coming up with instantly hummable numbers. From the time I first heard ‘Radio’, I can’t stop humming it. Aap sunenge toh aap bhi gayenge”.

Here’s some cool news for Salman Khan fans-we hear director Kabir Khan went the extra mile to shoot The Radio song from the upcoming film Tubelight.

After shooting amid beautiful natural locations in North India, Kabir wanted to shoot Radio in a town square typical to those in the 1960’s. The team went on a recce in and around to find a town which was untouched by modernisation. Since they were unable to find an apt location, he decided to construct it in Mumbai itself. Kabir was adamant on the set looking authentic right to the minute details, hence the team converted three acres of Film City into the fictional town Jagatpura. Salman Khan Films and Sony Music India today in a select gathering announced the name of the first song Radio from the most awaited Salman Khan starrer film Tubelight.

Attended by media, partners and radio, the event had everyone wanting more of the song and had it played repeatedly. The gathering also saw an exclusive sneak peek of the video and were blown away. “Addictive” “infectious”, “instantly hummable”, “happy song” were some adjectives that were used to describe the song.

'Salman's Tubelight demanded superstar's cameo and superstar agreed to do'

Salman Khan's Tubelight teaser was released last week, and it revealed that the film was shot at the backdrop of 1962  Indo-China war.
