Zachary Knighton (“Happy Endings”) and Steven Strait (“Magic City”) are heading for the apocalypse in “Hot,” starring in the indie feature from Caliber Media and Glydascope Inc.

Shoot is starting this week in Los Angeles.

Victor Warren will make his directorial debut from his own adaptation of Daniel Keleher’s play. Noah Segan (“Looper”), Kate Siegel (“Oculus”) and Jessica Dykstra also star.

Strait and Knighton portray life-long best friends holed up in an ostentatious penthouse with Strait’s character spending his days caring for his comatose fiancee (Siegel).
