Chris Pronger was born on October 10, 1974 in Dryden, Ontario, Canada as Christopher Robert Pronger. He has been married to Lauren Breece since 2001. They have three children.

Hartford's 1st choice, 2nd overall, in the 1993 Entry Draft.

Represented Team Canada in the 1998 and 2002 Winter Olympics.
