Started the punk scene in Gilman Street in Berkeley, California in 1984.
Started his own label, Hellcat records.

His ex-wife, Bree, is more known as Brody Armstrong of the punk band The Distillers
Along with The Offspring's "Smash", his band Rancid's 1995 album "And Out Come the Wolves" is considered one of the top selling punk albums sold in the entire world, containing popular hits such as "Roots Radicals", "Time Bomb" and "Ruby Soho".
(September 2003) Going to release long awaited follow-up to Life Won't Wait, Indestructable
(2004) Rancid recently took a brake because of members moving to other band projects.
(January 2005) Currently writing and recording follow-up to Rancid's "Indestructable".
(June 2005) Preparing to tour the United States and parts of Canada for the Vans Warped Tour with Transplants. Then doing a short European Tour from late August until mid-September.
(February 2006) The Transplants disbanded.
(April 2006) Announces that Rancid is planning a DVD that includes 31 music videos from 1993-2003. The band is also in the process of recording new studio album will surface for release in 2007.
