VH1 announced on Wednesday the complete casting for its new scripted series “The Breaks,” based on the original film that aired on the network earlier this year. Cast members from the film joining the TV spinoff include Afton Williamson (“The Night Of”), Wood Harris (“The Wire”), Mack Wilds (“90210”), Antoine Harris (“Ballers”), David Call (“The Magicians”) and Evan Handler (“Sex and the City”). New to the roster are Melonie Diaz (“Fruitvale Station”), Sinqua Walls (“Power”) and Ali Ahn (“Billions”). “The Breaks” is scheduled for a January 2017 premiere.
