Chris Hemsworth Dishes On 'Thor' Dream Scenes, Fights And More In Avengers: Age Of Ultron

7 hours ago | ComicBookMovie.com | See recent ComicBookMovie news »

When Collider, HitFix and several other media sites visited the secret London set of Marvel's forthcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron last year, they had witnessed the filming of a battle scene between Chris Hemsworth's Asgardian Thor and Paul Bettany's android the Vision. About the sequence, which apparently takes place under the "the upper balcony of the main room of the Avengers Tower set," the Aussie actor says, "This is their first meeting, and as you can see, it's conflicted. It’s a big fight scene." Afterwards, Hemsworth had talked lengthily with the journalists about Thor's dream sequence by way of the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and how Thor factors into the story without Tom Hiddlston's God of Mischief Loki, among other things. "We pick up with Thor having stayed on Earth from Thor 2, so he’s here, he’s part of the team," said Chris of where »

Joss Whedon on the scope of Avengers: Age of Ultron and its “unhinged” climax

8 hours ago | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

As Marvel steps up the publicity for Avengers: Age of Ultron with a series of character posters [check them out here], Yahoo! Movies caught up with Joss Whedon, during which the director discussed the scope of the hotly-anticipated sequel and its “unhinged” final act as Earth’s Mightiest Heroes take on the villainous AI and his army of Ultron bots.

Avengers: Age of Ultron got larger than the first film,” states Whedon. “I didn’t mean for it to get larger, but the climax that I pitched was completely unhinged and nobody said no, so that’s that… To me, adventure film is the best way to put it. Then science fiction, action, western, war, woman’s picture, horror movie … I’m not kidding; every single one of those things is in there.”

“You know they’re going to fight Ultron,” he continues. “You know Ultron has a tendency to build hundreds of Ultrons. »

'Avengers 2' Thor Poster with Chris Hemsworth

12 hours ago | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

A new wave of character posters have been arriving this week for Avengers: Age of Ultron, with the stars themselves releasing the one-sheets through their official Twitter accounts. Apparently Samuel L. Jackson has become the ambassador for his Twitter-less cast mates, debuting posters for his own character Nick Fury, along with Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow and Chris Hemsworth's Thor earlier today. It's clear that all of these one-sheets take place at the same battle, but since they all have slightly different backgrounds, perhaps they will all form one gigantic poster, similar to the one Marvel debuted at Comic-Con last summer.

In Avengers: Age of Ultron, Tony Stark attempts to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program. Things soon go awry and Earth's Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. »

Week in Review: Spend the night at the Godzilla Hotel in Japan

12 hours ago | SoundOnSight | See recent SoundOnSight news »

Anyone who has ever watched the Godzilla films knows that he isn’t a monster at all. More of a protector really. So this hotel room opening in Tokyo, really is quite soothing to know you have someone looking over you. Not scary at all, honestly.

For just $334 a night on weekdays, you can have Godzilla’s hand looming over you as you sleep and a statue of the kaiju peacefully guarding your doorway. You can even get a room that looks directly out at a Godzilla head mounted on the roof of the hotel.

Ah the Japanese; so like us.

We all know Michael Keaton should’ve won an Oscar last Sunday. In fact, he probably thought so too. Take a look at this Vine, in which it kind of looks like he’s putting a piece of paper, maybe an acceptance speech back into his jacket pocket right »

Chris Hemsworth on new villains and old fears for 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'

13 hours ago | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

If I had to rank the top ten things I've witnessed on a film set, one of those spots would be taken by the moment that occurred as a group of reporters, all flown to London by Marvel, walked out onto the upper balcony of the main room of the Avengers Tower set. Below us, two figures stood locked in combat. Or at least, they stood locked in the rehearsal for combat, as Joss Whedon walked around them, discussing the staging of the fight. We immediately recognized one of the figures as Thor, and one of the things that I find most impressive about Chris Hemsworth is that even when they have his stunt double on set, Hemsworth is still the biggest guy in the room. He is gigantic. I'm not 100% sure I'm the same gender as Hemsworth. He is, in a word, absurd. Of course they cast him as a god walking the Earth. »

Wait, Thor Wears Jeans? Chris Hemsworth Teases a "More Human" Thor in Avengers Sequel

13 hours ago | BuzzSugar | See recent BuzzSugar news »

It's midafternoon on the suburban London set of Avengers: Age of Ultron, inside a gleaming soundstage that's been transformed into Tony Stark's sleek, new, modern-art-studded living room. Chris Hemsworth's stunt double - who looks very much like the blond, chiseled actor until his wig flies off mid fight scene and makes the entire crew erupt in laughter - is working out some last-minute kinks ahead of shooting. Before Hemsworth himself swaps places with him and films his battle against Paul Bettany's character, The Vision, he takes a moment to sit down with a group of reporters to talk about the Marvel sequel. Bettany is just one of several newcomers to the Avengers universe, and Chris tells us the new blood has reinvigorated the cast. "It shakes things up. This new cast, all of a sudden, breaks the familiar rhythm that we may have and makes it a bit more unpredictable. »

Black Widow, Thor, And Nick Fury Posters Land For 'Avengers: Age Of Ultron' Plus New TV Spot

13 hours ago | The Playlist | See recent The Playlist news »

"I only got two more movies in my contract," Samuel L. Jackson told IGN last month, but are we really seeing the penultimate appearance of Nick Fury in "Avengers: Age Of Ultron"? Well, if Agent Coulson can't die (nor Nick Fury as we saw in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier"), anything is possible. At any rate, he's just one of three characters to get shiny new posters for 'Age Of Ultron' today. The others are Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow and Chris Hemsworth's Thor, and they all stand in the foreground as massive destruction unfolds behind them. I dunno, maybe they should turn around and help out instead of posing for photos? Kids these days.... "Avengers: Age Of Ultron" arrives on May 1st. Check out a new TV spot for the blockbuster below. »

With a cast that's larger than ever, there may be no end in sight to these poster reveals for this Marvel Phase Two sequel.

What Thor Brings To The Table In Avengers: Age Of Ultron

14 hours ago | cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news »

Amazing as it is to see all of the core members of The Avengers unifying on the big screen, it.s certainly less narratively fulfilling if there isn.t any real reason for all of the heroes to be together. Easy as the excuse "They.re all friends" is, the truth is that the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron will benefit from actually providing time to give reason for each character.s individual presence. Fortunately, this appears to be very much in the cards for the blockbuster . at least for Thor, who will be bringing a very interesting element to the table in the fight against the movie.s titular villain: his Asgardian knowledge, and ability to travel between realms. Chris Hemsworth delved into this very topic while on the Avengers 2 set, which I was given the wonderful opportunity to visit alongside a small group of other film journalists last »

Chris Hemsworth Is Excited to Make Thor Funny Again in 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'

18 hours ago | Moviefone | See recent Moviefone news »

The first thing that you need to know about actually meeting Chris Hemsworth is that he's huge. Like the kind of huge that you imagine him having to turn sideways to fit through doorframes. He is every bit the god that he plays in the Marvel movies and on the day we were visiting the set, he stood side-by-side his stunt double and for size and height and muscle mass, easily dwarfed him. Chris Hemsworth does not mess around. And in "Avengers: Age of Ultron," he really means business.

For most of the day we got to watch a scene where Hemsworth, as mighty Norse warrior Thor, was battling The Vision, a new character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (portrayed by Paul Bettany, who up until this point had been heard but not seen in the McU as the voice of Tony Stark's electronic butler Jarvis). Bettany looked amazing, with »
