In fact, if you were to ask me the highlight of the hour, I’d point not to any pyrotechnics or vexing villain but to Tristin Mays’ performance, as Riley recoiled from shooting The Client at close range, during a struggle for a gun. It added up to just a few moments, but it was a bit of
Tuesday’s milestone 100th installment (Freeform, 9/8c) is “quite an emotional episode about Angelo coming back through” Ally (MacGyver‘s Tristin Mays), the girl who received his heart via transplant, executive producer Lizzy Weiss previews. As Bay and Daphne try to wrap their heads around their newfound connection to their deceased father (played by Gilles Marini), “they start seeing him and talking about him more than they ever have.”

In the U.S., “MacGyver” is CBS’ most watched freshman program in the Friday 8 p.m. time period since 1997. It premiered as Friday’s most-watched program, and wins its Friday time period with a 9.9 million viewer average.
The show, a reimagining of the classic series, is about twenty-something Angus “Mac” MacGyver (Lucas Till), who creates a clandestine organization within the U.S. government, where he “uses his extraordinary talent for unconventional problem solving and vast scientific knowledge to save lives,” according to a statement.
“Joining his team on high-risk missions around the globe is maverick former CIA agent Jack Dalton (George Eads); Patricia Thornton (Sandrine Holt), an ex-field agent turned director of operations; and Riley Davis (Tristin Mays), an unpredictable computer hacker with a chip on
There’s a new boss at the Phoenix Foundation.
After the latest departure and sudden arrest of Director Patricia Thornton (Sandrine Holt), Phoenix Foundation has recruited needed a new director.
CBS announced actress Meredith Eaton will fill in those shoes as a series regular on MacGyver. She will play Matt Webber, the new director of operations and boss to Mac.
According to the press announcement, Matty Webber is a legend in the covert ops world. She was Jack’s (George Eads) superior for 18 months while on assignment in South America.
There’s also a little hint that Jack may not be happy to having her as a boss again.
“Matty Webber is a tough cookie and despite her history with Jack, she’ll have no problem finding her place in the Phoenix team. She may even teach Mac a few new tricks,” said executive producer and showrunner Peter Lenkov.
Friday's episode of MacGyver is all about our favorite computer hacker, who's about to start World War III after hacking the Nsa -- unless MacGyver (Lucas Till) and Jack (George Eads) can find her first.

Et has an exclusive sneak peak of this week's episode of the CBS action drama, in which Jack's quest to find Riley (Tristin Mays) involves meeting up with someone from her past… and his.
"So when you told me you were a bathroom tile salesman," Riley's mother, Diane (Michael Michele) asks Jack as the two meet up on a park bench.
"Yeah, I was lying," Jack admits. "I'm sorry about that. Look, it's a long story, Diane, but I work for a secret U.S. government organization, and well, I guess it's not that long of a story."

I thought CBS’s new MacGyver series was going to be a continuation of the 80s original, as in the new MacGyver would be the old MacGyver’s son/nephew/other relation. But then I saw that dreaded word: reboot.
A reboot means the original deserves a reexamination, so I watched the 1985 pilot (series available on Netflix) to see how much things have changed in MacGvyer-land in 31 years.
The first time we see Angus MacGyver (played by Richard Dean Anderson) in the original, he’s hanging off the side of a cliff “somewhere in Central Asia.”
In the MacGyver Season 1 Episode 1 reboot, a much-younger MacGyver (Lucas Till) is in a tux in Lake Como, using his voice-over to describe sex with his girlfriend, who also happens to be the “analyst” in his ear on his latest mission.

The freshman drama makes clear quite early on that Lucas Till’s Angus “Mac” MacGyver, as an operative for the Division of External Services, is a bit more physical than Richard Dean Anderson’s original mulleted problem-solver, able to handle himself decently in close0quarters combat, nor thinking twice before holding into an airborne jet’s landing gear for dear life. Jump ahead almost exactly 31 years, and paper clips prove as handy as ever, as demonstrated multiple times in CBS’ higher-octane reboot (premiering Friday, Sept. 23 at 8/7c).

A whole lot of good and bad guys have come and gone (and come and gone again), so the big question is, who do we hope to see return to Mystic Falls during season 8? Michael Trevino will reprise his role as werewolf Tyler Lockwood, and Tristin Mays, who played Stefan and Damon's great-niece Sarah Salvatore, is scheduled to appear as well. Here are a few other characters who could pop up during
