Ed Helms & Amanda Seyfried in First Trailer for Comedy 'The Clapper'

"Who is The Clapper?" Momentum Pictures has debuted an official trailer for an indie comedy titled The Clapper, the latest from director Dito Montiel (A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, Fighting, The Son of No One, Man Down). The Clapper is about a man, played by Ed Helms, who enjoys his job to be paid to fill seats in infomercial audiences. But when a talk late night TV talk show host discovers and makes fun of him, his whole life gets turned upside-down. Very weird concept for a film, but this trailer actually makes it look kind of amusing, with a sweet side. The cast includes Amanda Seyfried, Tracy Morgan, P.J. Byrne, Charles Halford, and Leah Remini. This probably isn't what you're expecting, but doesn't look too bad. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Dito Montiel's The Clapper, direct from YouTube: Eddie is a guy who gets paid

Ed Helms on Comedy Central’s New Special, ‘The Fake News with Ted Nelms’

The Fake News with Ted Nelms, starring and executive produced by Ed Helms, is a ridiculous, made-up news show that resembles actual news, but is instead a constant stream of jokes delivered with such an extreme deadpan that it will be hard not to laugh at the absurdity of it all. The hour-long Comedy Central satirical news special directed at the current political climate marks Helms’ return to the network, nearly a decade after his run on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart ended. During this 1-on-1 phone interview with Collider, actor Ed Helms talked about …

‘The Clapper’ Trailer: Ed Helms & Amanda Seyfried Fall In Love

Over a decade ago, Dito Montiel made a well received indie movie, “A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints,” but ever since has largely been failing upwards. A string of movies have followed, that find him working with decent names (Dwayne Johnson, Shia Labeouf, Kate Mara, Al Pacino, Robin Williams, Juliette Binoche) but all them have failed critically or commercially or both (“The Son Of No One,” “Empire State,” “Boulevard,” “Man Down“).

Ed Helms Returns to Comedy Central With a Mission: Making ‘Fake News’ Fake Again — Turn It On Podcast

Ed Helms Returns to Comedy Central With a Mission: Making ‘Fake News’ Fake Again — Turn It On Podcast
It took “fake news” to bring Ed Helms back to Comedy Central. Since leaving “The Daily Show” in 2006, Helms has found plenty of success as a comedic actor in both TV and film, starting with “The Office,” and then, of course, “The Hangover” trilogy and a successful voice over career in animated hits like “The Lorax” and “Captain Underpants.”

But Helms missed his time satirizing the news, especially given his experience working alongside legendary talent like Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, Samantha Bee, and many more. Now he’s back behind the desk, at least for one night, as the fictional host of Comedy Central’s “The Fake News with Ted Nelms.”

“I’ve just been missing being a part of the media commentary world ever since I left ‘The Daily Show,’ Helms said. “I really feel back in the saddle in a way. It’s really scratching that itch.

Stephen Colbert, Ed Helms Banter About 'Daily Show' Bathroom Etiquette

On Wednesday's Late Show, Daily Show alums Stephen Colbert and Ed Helms reignited a long-standing debate they've had.

"We had a little disagreement, you and I, at The Daily Show," Helms said, with Colbert asking, "You thinking about what I'm thinking about?"

Ready to "get into it" and "solve" their argument once and for all, the former Daily Show correspondents began discussing their differed views on whether it's appropriate to knock on a...

Jason Mraz Finds Making His Broadway Debut in ‘Waitress’ Less Grueling Than Going on Tour (Exclusive)

Jason Mraz Finds Making His Broadway Debut in ‘Waitress’ Less Grueling Than Going on Tour (Exclusive)
“It’s a good gig,” Jason Mraz says of what he’s calling a “Broadway Retreat,” making his acting and Broadway debut as Dr. Pomatter in a 10-week limited run of Waitress on Broadway.

The singer, who officially took his first bow on Nov. 3, tells Et that eight performances a week onstage at the Brooks Atkinson Theater in New York City is “less grueling” than a typical touring schedule. “I am not leaving town or changing venues. I am not onstage for three hours singing 25 songs. Broadway, in a sense, is easier, at least currently in the role that I’m in.”

Based on the 2007 film starring Keri Russell, Waitress tells the story of Jenna Hunterson, currently played by Betsy Wolfe, a pregnant pie maker in an unhappy marriage who falls in love with her married gynecologist, Dr. Pomatter. “Suddenly this patient comes along who disarms him and has him step out of his comfort zone; a boring

Sliff 2017 Review – Mune: Guardian Of The Moon

Mune: Guardian Of The Moon screens Saturday, Nov. 11 at 11:00am at The Missouri History Museum (5700 Lindell Boulevard) as part of this year’s St. Louis International Film Festival. This is a Free screening.

As legend has it, the first Guardian of the Sun threw a harpoon into the cosmos and roped the sun to bring light and warmth to all of humanity. Then the Guardian of the Moon lured the moon to the Land of Darkness to provide a balance to the sun and supply the world with dreams. At a momentous ceremony to appoint the two new guardians, an accident seems to occur: The heir apparent is passed over, and the title Guardian of the Moon is bestowed on the waif-like Mune, a small and frightened forest faun who seems wholly unprepared to take on such a weighty responsibility. This news excites Necross, the nefarious ruler of the Underworld,
