Stars: Jason London, Lorina Kamburova, Robert Englund, Gianni Capaldi, Diana Lyubenova | Written by Loris Curci, Dimitar Hristov, Barry Keating, Milan Konjevic | Directed by Patricio Valadares

As the camera swoops over a chilly boreal wilderness, and Luc Suarez’s brooding music evokes an air of intrigue and menace, it seems like we’re onto a winner. And look, there’s Robert Englund in the credits! That’s a sign of quality, right?

Jason London plays Brett Anderson – an ex-cop rather than an ex-Suede frontman – who is having nightmares about his dead wife, Ana (Diana Lyubenova). So naturally he moves to the Bulgarian capital Sofia and becomes a security camera operative in a creepy basement. A man named Martin (Gianni Capaldi) runs the building on behalf of a shadowy organisation. Brett is kept in the dark about what the organisation actually does – and also about what might be skulking in the giant

Nightworld Trailer Has Robert Englund Fighting Scary Supernatural Forces
Robert Englund is a living legend known for portraying Freddy Krueger in the Nightmare on Elm Street series. While he'll likely never return to that role, he hasn't given up his passion for acting. And in the horror world, a new Robert Englund movie is a cause for celebration, even if it's a low budget schlock fest that goes straight to VOD. The later half of that sentence may be true for his latest terrifying outing, a dark thriller called Nightworld. But it actually looks like a scary movie that will have horror fans excited all over again.

Robert Englund stars in Nightworld, which has the iconic actor fighting off a malevolent force while coming face to face with a very dark afterworld. Bloody Disgusting debuted the first trailer, which you can see below. They also have the first poster, which features an eery looking Englund who wears dark shades

Ventana Sur’s Blood Window Focuses Ramp-up of Latin American Genre (Exclusive)

Mar Del Plata – A cohort of Latin America’s young high priests of horror – Uruguay’s Gustavo Hernandez, Argentina’s Adrian and Ramiro Garcia Bogliano and Daniel de la Vega, Mexico/L.A.’s Lemon Films, Colombia’s Rhayuela, Cuba’s 5th Avenue – will congregate for Ventana Sur’s Blood Window, which ranks, besides Austin’s Fantastic Market as one of Latin America’s two big Latin America genre jamborees.

Notably, Latin America’s modern genre build is an almost entirely 21st century phenomenon. None of the 21 directors featured at Blood Window in either its six-title Work in Progress or much larger Beyond the Window helmed a feature before 2000.

“There’s always been a sensation, not only in Argentina but also over Latin America, that genre couldn’t really belong to us: It was the almost exclusive preserve of Americans,” said Incaa’s Javier Fernandez, Blood Window organizer.

“Just a few years back,
