If I were going to make a list of all the things I dig in this world of ours, somewhere near the top would undoubtedly be movies, baseball and Steven Soderbergh. Which is the reason why I was so bummed when Soderbergh’s “Moneyball” film suddenly fell apart a few months ago.
But it’s also why I’m so excited to tell you some big news: Soderbergh is planning to make a different baseball movie instead.
“Yeah, I have another idea for a baseball movie that actually doesn’t have any baseball in it,” the “Informant!” filmmaker revealed to us recently and more than a bit cryptically. “I am going to see Mlb when I’m in New York to talk to them about it.”
Soderbergh understandably dodged our follow-up questions like a runner on third caught in a botched suicide squeeze, but he did offer a few key »

Earlier this month, we heard about Jon Gosselin's latest pipe dream, a reality show called The Divorced Dads Club that would costar Michael Lohan, Jose Canseco and Mark Gastineau. Despite this recipe for instant success on any Comcast-owned network, Tlc squelched Jon's vision, citing something stupid about a two-year contract. Maybe we could convince Tlc brass that Gosselin's star on Divorced Dads (original title: Hair Plugs and Bearskin Rugs) could really lift the spirits of single dads everywhere if we provide the first episode's plotline, after the jump. »

This would have been TV gold had they kept the original lineup. Jon Gosselin, Kevin Federline and Michael Lohan were in talks to live together and be filmed round-the-clock for a reality show, "The Divorced Dads' Club." But, as Page Six reported last month, Gosselin pulled out after Tlc threatened to sue because his contract ties him to "Jon & Kate Plus 8" for two more years. And K-Fed, Britney Spears' ex, landed his own reality show with girlfriend Victoria Prince, leaving Lohan talking to disgraced Mlb slugger Jose Canseco »

**Scroll Down For Pics** AP article, Huffington Post slideshow Yokohama, Japan — Jose Canseco came out swinging but didn't last long in his debut in mixed martial arts. The former Oakland A's slugger was defeated by South Korean super heavyweight Hong Man Choi by a knockout just 1 minute, 17 seconds into the first round at Yokohama Arena. The referee stopped the fight when the 7-foot-2, 330-pound Choi knocked Canseco to the mat and started punching his head. "That's a big man," Canseco said after the fight. "I ran into one of his left jabs and that almost knocked me out. You have no idea how scary it was facing a man that big." Canseco did land the first blow with a right to the upper body of Choi but that was all the damage he could inflict on the Korean giant. Shortly into the fight, Canseco »

• In case you hadn't noticed, people are reacting quite passionately to Donald Trump letting Miss California off the hook. We think Rosanne Barr summarized it best, calling the Donald a "pimp daddy" and Carrie Prejean "two silicone bags on heels." (Pottymouth Adrianne Curry could learn a thing or two from her.) • All we can really understand of Courtney Love's latest rant is the word "marbles," which, frankly, seem long gone. • We're not really sure why, but Katy Perry is channeling her inner Manny Ramirez or Jose Canseco or something. Maybe it's Lily Allen? • There Larry King goes again, asking really deep, important »
