19 October 2012 6:10 AM, PDT | The Backlot | See recent The Backlot news »

Gentlemen, ladies and, err, more gentlemen… Ever wonder how it feels to lock eyes with pure evil? To encounter the countenance of wanton massacre? To stare at the gruesome visage of your impending doom?

Well wonder no more. This is what death looks like.

Don't believe me? Read on. Because by the end of this week's episode of Misfits, you will never think of milk (or any other dairy product) in the same way again.

Disney Xd is once again teaming up with Marvel to bring about new animated series after the success of Ultimate Spider-Man. Milking the success of the summer blockbuster, The Avengers, two new shows have been picked up to join the Marvel Universe block in Summer 2013: Marvel’s Avengers Assemble and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. Both series will feature the Hulk, which is perfect considering he doesn’t look to be getting a new live-action movie anytime soon, so he deserves a little extra attention in the other forms of media.

Avenger’s Assemble will feature the same team from The Avengers movie, with the addition of Falcon. Adrian Pasdar will do the voice of Iron Man just as he did on Ultimate Spider-Man and the Iron Man anime series. Fred Tatsciore will voice the Hulk, Roger Craig Smith doing Captain America, Travis Willingham as Thor, Troy Baker as Hawkeye, »

DVD Review: ‘Marvel Anime: Iron Man’ – The Complete Series – A Faithful Companion To Favreau’s Films Without All The S.H.I.E.L.D.

7 May 2012 11:55 AM, PDT | BuzzFocus.com | See recent BuzzFocus.com news »

Can’t get enough of The Avengers hype? Do you love Jon Favreau’s adaptation of Tony Stark/Iron Man? Do you want more Iron Man and less S.H.I.E.L.D.? Does your fandom spill into the realm of animation too?

If you answered yes to any or all of the above, then you need to check out the Marvel Anime: Iron Man The Complete Series on DVD. Using the first Iron Man film as the only required back-story, Sony and Madhouse Animation brought everything that’s great about Japanimation to Iron Man–the mecha look, the fast action, and a slightly edgier approach than what’s typically passed for as cartoons in the states.

The story is set up nicely to bring Tony Stark to Japan because he wants to bring free energy to Japan, applying his life-saving Arc technology to create a large reactor to feed the country. »
