On the heels of yesterday’s Game Informer cover reveal, The Coalition’s Rod Fergusson has entertained the idea of bringing upcoming sci-fi sequel Gears of War 4 to PC, much like the studio’s Gears of War Ultimate Edition.
When quizzed about a possible port, Fergusson kept things short and sweet – the interview involved 105 questions in five minutes – by stating “possibly,” hinting at the very least that Microsoft is open to expanding the game’s launch plans beyond Xbox One.
There was also mention of the framerate and resolution that users can expect come launch, and interestingly, there’s a slight disparity between single-player and multiplayer. Whereas the offline campaign will be locked at 1080p, 30fps, the online component of Gears of War 4 will run at a native 60fps, though Fergusson remained mum about the actual resolution of the game’s multiplayer. Expect further details to emerge closer to the shooter’s imminent beta test. »
