New poster for The CW’s iZombie

5 June 2014 1:57 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

As we await the arrival of the first trailer, The CW has dropped a new poster for iZombie, the upcoming adaptation of Chris Roberson and Michael Allred’s DC / Vertigo comic book series from Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas

Olivia “Liv” Moore was a rosy-cheeked, disciplined, over-achieving medical resident who had her life path completely mapped out…until the night she attended a party that unexpectedly turned into a zombie feeding frenzy. As one of the newly undead, Liv is doing her best to blend in and look as human as possible. Her appearance now passes for “Goth,” with shockingly pale skin and nearly white hair, and her demeanor has gone from exuberant to exhausted. The change in Liv is baffling to her mother, her former fiancé, Major, and her best friend and roommate, Peyton, who still has the high-energy, Type-a personality that Liv has completely abandoned. Despite her post-traumatic ennui, »

New Poster for iZombie TV Series

4 June 2014 4:16 PM, PDT | DailyDead | See recent DailyDead news »

Olivia “Liv” Moore was a medical resident before she became a zombie, and she intends to continue working with human bodies at the coroner’s office… only now she’ll be eating them, too. Liv soon discovers that by eating the brains of murder victims, she can help solve homicide cases, bringing a whole new meaning to her living dead life. This is the start of iZombie, a new series that will air later this year, and The CW has shared a new poster that showcases three core characters.

The poster features Liv (Rose McIver) appropriately seated amongst jars of human organs in the coroner’s office. In the background on the left is Liv’s boss, Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti (Rahul Kohli), and on the right is homicide detective Clive Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin).

iZombie Gets Series Order from The CW

8 May 2014 4:20 PM, PDT | DailyDead | See recent DailyDead news »

Earlier this year, we reported that a TV series based on DC’s iZOMBIE  had been given a pilot order by The CW and that a main cast for the project had been assembled. Now we know that iZombie won’t get stuck in pilot purgatory, as it recently received a full series order by The CW.

The zombie-centric series will be set up as a crime procedural based on the comic book series that started in 2010 from Chris Roberson and Michael Allred:

“Gwen Dylan is a gravedigger in an eco-friendly cemetery…and a zombie detective. Once a month, she has to eat a human brain – both to keep from going all “Night of the Living Dead,” and to keep her own memories intact. As a result, Gwen’s mind is crowded with the dead person’s thoughts. And lately, she feels compelled to fulfill their final requests. Torn »

The CW picks up 'The Flash,' 'iZombie' and renews 'Dixie,' 'Beauty and the Beast'

8 May 2014 12:00 PM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

Add The CW to the list of networks doing early housekeeping before next week's Upfronts. On Thursday (May 8) morning, one week before it will announce its full schedule to advertisers, The CW four new series pickups for next season, renewed three established series and, in the process, confirmed that three bubble shows will not be returning next year. Let's take things step-by-step:  The four new dramas that will be part of The CW's schedule at some point next year are comic adaptations "The Flash" and "iZombie," plus the soap "Jane the Virgin" and pre-Apocalyptic thriller "The Messengers." The three dramas newly renewed for next season are freshman success "The 100," dramedy "Hart of Dixie" and unintentional dramedy "Beauty and the Beast." And that, in turn, means that "Star-Crossed," "The Carrie Diaries" and "The Tomorrow People" will not be back next season. It also means that "Supernatural: Bloodlines" will not be going to series, »

More Actor Flesh Munched on in iZombie

19 March 2014 11:44 AM, PDT | DreadCentral.com | See recent Dread Central news »

Ya gotta be careful with actor flesh. One wrong bite, and you're chewing on something silicone-based and that shit is nasty. That's why it's always best to get fresh meat on your menu which is untainted by Hollywood glam.

Variety is reporting that U.K. up-and-comer Rahul Kohli (pictured) has been set as the final series regular role in the Rob Thomas/Diane Ruggiero CW pilot “iZombie.”

Kohli will play an enthusiastic nerd who befriends the lead character in the show based on the DC Comics/Vertigo property about a medical student-turned-zombie. He'll star alongside David Anders, Rose McIver, Robert Buckley, Alexandra Krosney, and Malcolm Goodwin.

"iZombie" is a supernatural crime procedural that centers on Liv (McIver), a med student-turned-zombie who takes a job in the coroner’s office to gain access to the brains she must reluctantly eat to maintain her humanity, but with each brain she consumes, she inherits the corpse’s memories. »

Rob Thomas confirms his 'iZombie' series won't be sticking close to the comics

18 March 2014 3:54 PM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

(Cbr) Executive producer Rob Thomas has confirmed what fans of the Vertigo series probably have already deduced from the flurry of casting announcements: The CW’s "iZombie" pilot will deviate significantly from the source material by Chris Roberson and Mike Allred. “We’re not sticking that close to the comic,” the creator of "Veronica Mars" tells IGN. “The thing that we’re taking from the comic is this mid-20s female zombie who eats brains and gets the memories of the dead, but we put her in a coroner’s office, so there is sort of a ‘case of the week’ each week where she gets snippets of memories of the deceased and tries to solve the crime.” As Thomas’ comments underscore, the CW project is being billed as a supernatural police procedural, with Rose McIver ("Once Upon a Time", "Power Rangers R.P.M.") starring as Olivia “Liv” Moore, a med »
