Rob Mariano was born on December 25, 1975 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA as Robert Carlo Mariano. He is an actor, known for Survivor (2000), The Amazing Race (2001) and Rob and Amber: Against the Odds (2007). He has been married to Amber Mariano since April 16, 2005. They have four children.

At one time coached the Boston University Roller Hockey team for the Collegiate Roller Hockey League.
He and Shii Ann Huang are the only contestants competing in "Survivor All-Stars" who were not members of the "jury" that decided the winners in their previous "Survivor" attempts.
Is engaged to fellow Survivor All-Star Amber Mariano.
Proposed to Amber Brkich on national television, before she won a million dollars on 'Survivor'.
Won a "Survivor" series-record 16 challenges (reward and immunity) as both a tribe member and individually in his appearance on "Survivor: All-Stars" (Has since been broken by Tom Westman, who won 17 on "Survivor: Palau.")
For a special wedding present, he bought Amber a house and a pair of real diamond earrings (because she always wore fake). His wife, Amber, gave birth to their second child, a baby girl, Carina Rose Mariano, on December 10, 2010.

After 3 previously failed attempts, he finally won Survivor Redemption Island.
