‘The Flash': Tom Cavanagh’s Return Fuels Flashpoint Speculation

27 May 2016 4:23 PM, PDT | The Wrap | See recent The Wrap news »

Tom Cavanagh will return as a series regular for Season 3 of “The Flash,” leading to speculation about whether The CW superhero drama will do the famous comic book storyline called Flashpoint. In the Season 2 finale, after Barry (Grant Gustin) lost his father and defeated the season’s big bad, Zoom (Teddy Sears), he decided to reverse the decision he made in the Season 1 finale and go back in time to stop Reverse-Flash (Cavanagh) from killing his mother when he was young. This set off alarm bells for hardcore DC comic book fans, who immediately recognized this action from the »

TV's The Flash "The Race of His Life" Season Finale Review

25 May 2016 10:56 AM, PDT | LatinoReview | See recent LatinoReview news »

Is Barry Allen still Flash after the season finale?

The sophomore season of The Flash has had its ups and downs this season but that was to be expected.  After a stellar first season it was going to be really hard for the producers and writers to match the level of expectations everyone going into the season.  Ultimately every show is judged by how well the finale ties all the conflicts up at the end and where our heroes will go next.  Last night’s finale for The Flash had some minor flaws but overall was a great ending to this story.  Grant Gustin has become a phenomenal actor as he has grown into the role of Barry/Flash.  Except for about 5 minutes of this show it was jammed with intense emotions mainly set off from the death of Henry Allen.

The Flash Season 2 Episode 23 Review – ‘The Race of His Life’

Jessie Robertson reviews the season 2 finale of The Flash

Run, Barry, Run!

We’ve heard that slogan all throughout this show, “Run, Barry, Run”, both slyly acknowledging his superhero identity while urging him forward on his superheroic quest. 2 episodes back, there was a very interesting slogan used when Barry was inside the Speed Force: “Sit, Barry, Sit.” In that somewhat introspective episode, Barry dealt with something that had nagged at him for far too long; the loss of his mother and his inability to stop it. It was a sentimental tear jerker. Tonight’s finale ending pretty much undoes all of what came before and I don’t think it sits very well with me. But, let’s not skip ahead yet:

After Henry’s death last week, Barry is gripped by sadness; he doesn’t even want to exchange pleasantries with the Flash team, just get down to business. »

Grant Gustin Warns The Flash's Season 2 Finale Is About to Break Your Heart

24 May 2016 10:48 AM, PDT | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

How intense is The Flash's season two finale? You'd have to create a new emoji in order to describe it. That's what star Grant Gustin told E! News at The CW's Upfront presentation in New York City last week, after he interview-bombed our chat with co-star Jesse L. Martin, letting us crash one of their iconic Barry-Joe hugs. (Be jealous, oh so jealous!) In last week's penultimate episode, Zoom (Teddy Sears) committed his worst act yet, killing Barry's father Henry (John Wesley Shipp) in the exact same spot Barry's mother died. Ouch.  As for the fallout of the "crushing" death" in tonight's finale, Gustin basically said that emoji with the waterfall tears isn't »

Legends Of Tomorrow: exploring season 1’s cliffhanger ending

Legends Of Tomorrow ended its first season with a big ol’ hint of things to come. With spoilers, here’s what it meant...

This article contains spoilers for Legends Of Tomorrow’s season 1 finale, as well as revealing Zoom from The Flash’s secret identity.

Vandal Savage is dead; murdered at three different points in time. (Even some serious ashes-tampering by Malcolm Merlyn surely couldn’t undo that... could it?) But the story of Rip Hunter and The Waverider crew - now sans Kendra and Carter - is far from finished.

Legends Of Tomorrow will return for a second season as part of The CW’s fall 2016-2017 line up. As such, season 1 ended with a standard-issue tease of things to come. Shortly after Dominic Purcell’s Mick mentioned being hungry for chicken and the gang began wandering away, another Waverider crash landed from the sky in a big puff of smoke. »

Zoom’s Shocking Plan Revealed In Extended Trailer For The Flash Season 2 Finale

23 May 2016 5:40 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

We’ve known for about a week now that Zoom will challenge The Fastest Man Alive to a race in the season two finale of The Flash, but the reason why hasn’t been clear. There’s been a lot of speculation, of course, and if you were one of the people who guessed that there’s something more to the villain’s plan than meets the eye, give yourself a pat on the back.

In the extended promo above, we learn that the device Zoom wants to race Barry in will convert the energy from the Speed Force into a wave which will destroy every other world in the Multiverse. Why exactly he would want to do that remains to be seen, and the brief synopsis for this episode of The Flash (titled “The Race of his Life”) sadly doesn’t shed any light on it:

The Flash Season 2 Episode 22 Review – ‘Invincible’

Jessie Robertson reviews the twenty-second episode of The Flash season 2…

Coming this holiday season: Beats by Wells

So, I’ve sat with this episode longer than usual and that’s because the ending really messed me up; I didn’t like it at all! Earlier this year, on Arrow, we lost Laurel aka Black Canary; a significant character blow to the show since she’d been on since day one. Now, tonight, another devastating loss in the form of Henry Allen, yes the man who spent nearly the entirety of season one locked up only to get out and move to the country.

Now, how it happened is in line with the tragic death of Barry’s mother, Nora, same circumstance, same place, everything; it tees off dramatically well from the tragic event that shaped Barry’s young life; so it makes sense to double down and repeat it to »

The Scarlet Speedster Faces "The Race Of His Life" In Images From The Flash Season Finale

18 May 2016 11:35 AM, PDT | ComicBookMovie.com | See recent ComicBookMovie news »

It's fair to say that last night's episode of The Flash left all our jaws on the floor, but if Zoom's plan to make Barry Allen realise that he's just like him fails, what's next? Based on the promo, a race, and these images from next week's finale shed some light on how that's going to play out. It seems like the Fastest Man Alive will be cajoled into taking part after the villain takes his other father figure hostage.  Hunter Zolomon's true motivations for wanting to race The Flash no doubt have something to do with Cisco's vision of a destroyed Earth-2, and this episode is going to have to address not only that, but also the identity of the Man in the Iron Mask, Barry and Iris' future, whether or not Wally and Jesse have powers, and possibly even what's next for these characters as we hurtle towards season three. »

First Look Extended Promo For The Season Finale Of The Flash

18 May 2016 11:06 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Following the shocking events of last night’s episode of The Flash, an extended promo has surfaced which sheds some light on what’s next for the Fastest Man Alive after Zoom murdered his father right in front of him.

Feeling invincible after interacting with the Speed Force, Henry’s death came as a sudden reminder to Barry of just how great a threat Hunter Zolomon really is. Surprisingly, it seems as if Zoom wants to resolve their battle with a race, but when you think back to Cisco’s vision of Earth-2 being destroyed, chances are that the villain is up to no good.

For more information on what to expect, you can consult the official episode summary below:
