24: Legacy: Cancelled? No Season Two, at Least for Now

15 May 2017 2:58 PM, PDT | TVSeriesFinale.com | See recent TVSeriesFinale news »

Fox has announced there will be no second season of 24: Legacy, at least for now. Deadline reports Fox CEO Gary Newman said that star Corey Hawkins' commitment to the Six Degrees of Separation revival on Broadway means he's unavailable. The thing is, had the network planned to renew the 24 sequel for a second season, Hawkins would have still been on contract, so it may be safe to consider 24: Legacy cancelled.24: Legacy stars Hawkins as Eric Carter, an Army Ranger who becomes the target of a terrorist organization. The show’s cast also includes Miranda Otto, Jimmy Smits, Teddy Sears, Dan Bucatinsky, Anna Diop, Ashley Thomas, Charlie Hofheimer, Coral Pena, and Sheila Vand. The good news is, the network is opened to future installments of the 24 franchise.Read More… »

24: Legacy Season One Review

22 April 2017 8:55 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Ricky Church reviews the first season of 24: Legacy…

24: Legacy’s inaugural season ended earlier this week, bringing a close to former Army Ranger Eric Carter’s stressful day to stop a number of terrorist attacks. Legacy was a satisfying follow-up to the original series with some interesting new characters, but it relied way too much on the worn out tropes of 24 and didn’t take quite enough risks to truly differentiate itself from its parent series.

As the star of the show, Corey Hawkins did a great job throughout the season as Carter. He really got to make the character his own and show how he was a worthy successor to Jack Bauer. However, he only really started coming into his own further into the season. For the first few episodes, Carter was nearly a carbon copy of Bauer, making the same type of morally grey choices Bauer would have made. »

The Flash season 4: the big bad won't be a speedster

Rob Leane Mar 20, 2017

In a change from the formula, The Flash will face a non-speedy big bad in season 4...

Here's some exciting news: The Flash's upcoming fourth season will throw out the rulebook, and pit Grant Gustin's Barry Allen against a big bad that isn't a speedster.

After season 1's The Reverse-Flash (Tom Cavanagh/Matt Letscher), season 2's Zoom (Tony Todd/Teddy Sears) and season 3's Savitar (voiced by Tobin Bell), the established formula of speedy season-long villains murdering Barry's loved ones is starting to wear a little thin, making this news very welcome indeed.

The scoop came from PaleyFest via The Hollywood Reporter. At the event, producer Andrew Kreisberg said this: "Next season, we're not going to have a speedster as the main bad guy". Simples.

"With Savitar, we know who he is, and we've been planning this for a while," Kreisberg added. "The first two seasons »

After three seasons, The Flash is changing things up.

During The CW's Saturday DC Comics TV panel at PaleyFest, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg revealed a big change for season four of the Grant Gustin starrer.

"Next season, we're not going to have a speedster as the main bad guy," Kreisberg said as the packed Dolby Theatre erupted in thunderous applause and cheers.

For show's entire run thus far, every season has been focused around a speedster as a villain, beginning with Reverse-Flash (Tom Cavanagh/Matt Letscher) in season one, continuing with Zoom (Teddy Sears) in season two and mysterious god of »

Rebecca Ingram (Miranda Otto) is pulling Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard) into CTU in a desperate play to pull off a particularly messy mission. Her partner, Keith Mullins (Teddy Sears), doesn’t like the idea one bit. “He’s a criminal,” Mullins says in the above sneak peek, which is exclusive to TheWrap. “A lot of people are dead because of Tony Almeida.” Also Read: Fox Orders Reality Series 'You The Jury,' Where Viewers Decide »

24: Legacy Season 1 Episode 2 Review – ‘1:00 Pm – 2:00 Pm’

9 February 2017 2:50 PM, PST | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Ricky Church reviews the second episode of 24: Legacy…

As 24: Legacy continued with its second episode, Corey Hawkins still impressed as Army Ranger Eric Carter, but he’s becoming even more of a carbon copy of Jack Bauer with this instalment of the series. ‘1:00 Pm – 2:00 Pm’ was still an enjoyable episode, but unfortunately leaned a bit too much on the usual tropes from of the original series, something I feared might happen with the series premiere.

As the episode progressed, Carter showed the same kind of moral ambiguity and disregard for protocol that Bauer was known for as Carter kidnapped a pair of police officers in order to steal a bunch of evidence money. It’s a little far-fetched to believe he had to go through all that in order to get the terrorists’ cell phone from his former partner. Time is obviously short, but he and »

24: Legacy Season 1 Episode 1 Review – ’12:00 Pm – 1:00 Pm’

6 February 2017 12:04 PM, PST | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Ricky Church reviews the first episode of 24: Legacy…

Even after so many years off the air, 24 continues to show it has some legs left with the rebooted series 24: Legacy. The series follows a new group of characters, but sets itself in the same universe as its predecessor. Legacy follows Us Army Ranger Eric Carter (Corey Hawkins) as terrorists attempt to kill him and his fellow squadmates as revenge for the death of their leader.

24: Legacy’s format is much the same as 24, even going so far as to possibly utilize the same trope that 24 heavily leaned on during its run: a mole in CTU. Whoever does the hiring and vetting process for that agency should probably be fired since CTU has more leaks than a sinking ship. It’s a little disappointing to see the reboot go down that well right out of the gate rather than »
