Mustafa Avkiran was born in 1963 in Gaziantep, Turkey. He is an actor, known for Mutluluk (2007), Kuzey Güney (2011) and Av Mevsimi (2010).

In 1995, together with Övül Avkiran and Naz Erayda he co-founded the theatre "5. Sokak Tiyatrosu" (5th Street Theatre) in Antalya and in 2000 "ISM 2th Floor" in Istanbul with the theatre "Oyunevi". Since 2007, they also run "garajistanbul", a theatre that originated plays such "Ashura" (2004) and "Oyunu Bozun!" (Destroy the Game!, 2006).
Studied acting at the Mimar Sinan University in Istanbul, Turkey (until 1990). Besides working as an actor, he also directed a number of plays for the national theatre in Istanbul, including "Lower Depths" by Maxim Gorki, for which he also won the 7. Afife prize for best directing.
