- Before being appointed as producer with Young and the Restless in 2002 he was head of the drama department at Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama in Pittsburgh, Penn. He's also held posts at The Julliard School, Harvard University, UCLA, Georgetown University, Boston University and Cal Arts. He directed the feature film, "Deadication", which was the recipient of "The Best of the Fest Award" in the Seattle Film Festival and directed the feature "Memorial".
Mr. Frisch has directed 170 plays, musicals, cabaret and opera in the New York and regional theatre. He is the co-author of 'American Dreams', with Studs Terkel. - Frisch was a longtime friend of then executive producer David Shaughnessy of The Young and the Restless (1973). He was replaced as a producer within just three months, though.
