Audiences really responded to Meet the Blacks so we’re happy to give them another dose of dysfunction with House Next Door.”

The late Robin Williams has been accused of stealing jokes back in the early days of his comedic career in a new comedy tell-all book written by the legendary Budd Friedman. Friedman founded the New York and Los Angeles Improv Comedy Clubs and has seen a lot of things in his 85 years. In addition to ratting out Robin Williams, Friedman devotes an entire chapter to the iconic and polarizing comedian, Andy Kaufman, and dishes on managing Bette Midler as well as witnessing Johnny Carson getting wasted and making out with an 18-year old girl in the backseat of a car.
Many comedians have been accused of joke stealing, but as it turns out, Robin Williams was reportedly notorious for it back when he was for starting out. The Hollywood Reporter spoke to Budd Friedman about his book and the author revealed that Richard Lewis and Robert Wuhl both accuse Williams »

"Operation Who's-Your-Daddy - the top mission is finding dad." Warner Bros has debuted a new trailer for the comedy titled Father Figures, formerly known Bastards, starring Owen Wilson and Ed Helms as fraternal twin brothers who go on a search for their father when their mother reveals she doesn't know who he really is. This was actually set to be released in January, but the studio pulled it and delayed it all the way until Christmas this year, giving it a new title in the meantime. Unfortunately it still doesn't look any better. Also starring Katie Aselton, J.K. Simmons, Terry Bradshaw, Glenn Close, Ving Rhames, Ryan Cartwright, Katt Williams, Retta and Bill Irwin. Not really worth a watch, but have a look if you wish. Here's the new official trailer for Lawrence Sher's Father Figures, direct from WB's YouTube: You can still watch the original trailer for Bastards here, »

Perhaps you haven't heard of Father Figures? That's because when the first trailer dropped more than a year ago, it was called Bastards. The team behind this comedy wised up, changing the title and giving you some time to forget. Now, they have cobbled together a new trailer, for better or worse, and here we are.
Arriving from Warner Bros. and Alcon Entertainment, the latest footage from Father Figures promises a Christmas comedy that will bring you back home. The movie opens on December 22, and it stars two heavy weights in the genre who've not been so busy lately. The movie teams the great Ed Helms with the always welcome Owen Wilson for the right amount of charm. It doesn't really matter how good or bad the script is, these guys will probably carry the material pretty far on their own.

“All comedy roads today, lead to Def Comedy Jam.”
Dave Chappelle, Steve Harvey, Martin Lawrence, D.L. Hughley and more of comedy’s heavy hitters reunited for a special night of laughs for Def Comedy Jam 25, a new special which began streaming on Netflix on Tuesday.
The comedy celebration was filmed at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, on Sept. 9, and pays tribute to the comedians behind a show “responsible for more stolen cable than any other television,” as Chappelle joked.
Chappelle, Harvey, Sheryl Underwood and Cedric the Entertainer kick off the 80-minute special playing as a comedy collision of self-deprecation and social topics like racism and police brutality, a sprinkle of politics (President Donald Trump comes up more than once) and tons of laughs, with appearances from Tracy Morgan, Katt Williams, Craig Robinson, Bill Bellamy, Mike Epps, Tiffany Haddish and many more.

Some of the most iconic moments from HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam” were about relationships, sex, and culture. But the comics who appeared on Russell Simmons and Bob Sumner’s stand-up show didn’t shy away from the current events of the time, either – everything from O.J. Simpson’s freeway chase to the beating of Rodney King and subsequent L.A. riots were fair game. So it’s no surprise that reuniting some of the best from the show’s original run for Netflix’s 25th anniversary special would come with ample commentary on the politics of today.
The “Def Comedy Jam 25” special, which was taped on Sept. 10 in Los Angeles, mixed live performances from Def Jam legends like Cedric the Entertainer, Adele Givens, Eddie Griffin, Tracy Morgan and Mike Epps with pre-taped messages from stars like Chris Rock and Kevin Hart as well as footage from classic sets.

The studio is keeping the Dec. 22 release date for the Alcon Entertainment production.
J.K. Simmons and former pro football player Terry Bradshaw, who is playing himself, are potential father figures to Wilson and Helms’ characters — who are brothers whose eccentric mother raised them to believe their father died when they were young. When they discover this to be a lie, they set out to find their real father.
The brothers’ mother Helen Baxter (portrayed Glenn Close) admits at her wedding that she stretched the truth about their father dying when they were young. “I’m not sure who your father was,” she says in the first trailer for the film.
