Actor/filmmaker Josh Austin has a diverse resume of credits. Originally from the Bronx, New York, he attended the State University of New York at Purchase. He ventured to Los Angeles in 1998, initially pursuing a combination of acting and singing in local rock and jazz bands. He eventually added directing/filmmaking to his list of career goals and began creating his own projects, simultaneous with the formation of his production company, Central Film Group (AKA "CFG").

For the Sci-Fi film "Tales From Beyond" starring Adam West (TV's "Batman"), he not only served as a director, writer, and producer, but played multiple principal roles in the segmented feature. The film received awards at multiple film festivals and has been released through Anthem Pictures.

His early show business beginnings include singing for Los Angeles-based rock bands The Pinks, Polyester and others.

Graduate of New York City's legendary High School of Art & Design: fellow alumni includes Tony Bennett, Calvin Klein, Christopher Martin (a.k.a. Play of hip-hop group Kid-N-Play), and fellow 'Tales From Beyond' co-star Russell Scott.

Has been an art director and creative consultant for the Critics' Choice Awards for the Broadcast Film Critics Association in association with VH1 (formerly E! and Fox).

His first filmmaking effort was a short entitled "Only in America." It told the unauthorized, partially-fictionalized biography of real-life 1960s rock and roll legends Jay & The Americans. In addition to serving as the film's director, writer, and producer, he played the lead role, portraying the ever-controversial Jay Black.
