Pomeroy was born in 1996. Growing up, Phil had a pull towards entertainment. His childhood was at the start of YouTube and short form content creation. In 2012 at the age of 16, he got into making YouTube videos, having some moderate success. Within a year of starting, his channel was picked up by the MCN (Multi-Channel Network) Maker Studios. In 2014, Maker Studios was bought by The Walt Disney Company and in 2015, Phil and others were invited to the Disney Parks Creators Conference.
Pomeroy continued short form content creation all the way through his time at University where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in film production. While attending, he directed two short films, When They Fell and The Bunny Man. The Bunny Man went on to be a finalist at two festivals as well as being awarded Best Horror Short at the Port Blair International Film Festival.
Post graduation, Phil went on to be the Director's Assistant on the thriller film, The Warehouse. The following year he would go on to direct his third short film, a mockumentary titled Greetings Death, which was created for the Lynchburg 48 hr Film Festival.
