Daughter of thoroughbred race horse trainer Robert Frankel who is a member of the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame, inducted in 1995, and is a multiple Eclipse Award winner.
Was part of of a company called "Princess Pashmina", which was the first to import shawls and distribute them to Hollywood celebrities.
Attended the National Gourmet Cooking Institute in New York. After she graduated, she formed a company ("Bethenny Bakes") which provides wheat, egg, and dairy-free baked goods, meals for private clients and a custom-meal delivery service.
