Hollywood headed down south for the 2015 SXSW film, interactive and music festival in Austin, Texas, for the annual 10-day event, which wraps up on March 22.
“No one wants to go up those flights of stairs over and over and over again. Once you’re up, you kind of just stay here,” star Shane West joked about the jam-packed rooftop soireé, which was complete with aerialists (a.k.a. levitating enchantresses) and apothecaries — better known as multiple bars — as he sipped on a cocktail.
“It’s funky-town,” new cast member Lucy Lawless told Variety, hours after arriving at SXSW with her co-stars (the entire “Salem” cast took a six-hour road trip together from their Shreveport, La., set to Austin, thanks to their flights being canceled at the last minute). “[Austin] has got so much character. »

Hollywood headed down south for the 2015 SXSW film, interactive and music festival in Austin, Texas, for the annual ten day event, which wraps up on March 22.
SXSW kicked off on Friday the 13th, very fittingly with a haunted house party, hosted by Wgn America’s supernatural thriller “Salem.”
“No one wants to go up those flights of stairs over and over and over again. Jimmy Kimmel Live! returns to Austin, Texas this week for South by Southwest, and in the spirit of giving back amidst the festival's corporate milieu — and keeping Austin weird — host Jimmy Kimmel and Matthew McConaughey teamed up to produce three ridiculous commercials for local video store Vulcan Video.
Kimmel first swings through Vulcan where he meets the proprietors, Bryan and Kristen, who show off the store's extensive inventory, from large collections of Jerry Lewis films and Canadian TV shows to a copy of Hot Dog... The Movie, a film Kimmel fondly remembers from his youth. »
If you're like us and value your sleep, you probably nodded off into your Ambien dreamland before the party started on post-prime time TV. Don't worry; we've got you covered. Here's the best of what happened last night on late night.
"Jimmy Kimmel Live" is in Austin, Texas, and in a little boost to the local economy, he posted a tweet asking if any businesses might want him to help them produce a TV commercial. He went with Vulcan Video and shot a commercial starring a "local actor" named Matthew McConaughey. Everything is better with McConaughey. This is a must-watch especially when McConaughey shows up and gets in classic McConaughey mode.
Kevin Hart was on Jkl and talked about the time he tried to work out with the University of Texas football team and it was a little too much for him. He threw up. "I didn't even clean it up, »

Welcomed by an audience of 2,400 of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” fans, including tons of locals who gave the latenight host restaurant recommendations during the commercial breaks, Kimmel launched his first show of the week by telling the audience about his fondness for Austin — and the food the city has to offer.
“We’re here for a whole week because that’s how long it takes to get to the front of the line at Franklins,” Kimmel joked of a popular barbecue house in Austin. He added that, in just his first few days down South, he’s indulged in burgers, queso, banana cream pie and a fair amount of alcohol.
“This town turns you into an animal,” he said.

Carrie Underwood's baby bump was on display on Thursday when she hit the stage at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry for a tribute to late country singer Little Jimmy Dickens. The show also served as a celebration of life service for the country legend, who passed away at age 94 on Jan. 2. During the service, Carrie took the stage with Vince Gill to sing "Go Rest High on That Mountain," while Little Jimmy's longtime friend Brad Paisley presided over the celebration. Carrie tweeted a sad, sweet message that day, writing, "I know why it's raining in Nashville. Little Jimmy is in heaven now making the Angels laugh so hard, they're crying. We'll miss you, friend!" »

“I'm going to get my butt kicked, I feel like. I think I really am,” he said while laughing about his big triumph with Et’s Brooke Anderson backstage. “I feel guilty because they are literally some of the nicest guys in our job and I'm lucky that I get to say that.”

The country music community gathered in Nashville on Thursday to say goodbye to legendary performer Little Jimmy Dickens, and not surprisingly, the focus was on his size: His huge smile and big laugh. His great heart. His enormous sense of humor. His larger-than-life stage personality. In fact if anything became abundantly clear during the two-hour funeral at the Grand Ole Opry House where Dickens had performed countless times, it was this: His height - all 4 feet 11 inches - was the only thing about Little Jimmy Dickens that was small. Longtime friend and fishing buddy Brad Paisley presided over the public celebration of Dickens's life, »
