Nathan Wetherington is known as an American writer, actor, and director. He began his career in the theater and is a long time member of the downtown NYC performance art sensation Blue Man Group, with whom he still sometimes performs.
In 2018 he wrote, directed, and produced his first feature film, A Thousand Miles Behind. The film won several film festivals world wide and was released in June of 2020 through Level 33 Entertainment.
He is also an accomplished studio musician and has recorded with many top pop artists ranging from Daniel Powter to Christina Aguilera.
Played drums on much of Christina Aguilera's Platinum selling record Back to Basics, including its hit singles, Candyman and Hurt. He was an in-demand session musician in Los Angeles for nearly a decade before leaving the music industry.
Made his debut feature film, A Thousand Miles Behind with a modest budget of just twenty-five thousand dollars.
Won the Best Director Award at the 2019 Good Grain Film Festival.
His second feature length dramatic narrative screenplay, Sendgeance! was selected as a 2022 Academy Nicholls Fellowship semi-finalist as well as an Austin Film Festival Second Rounder.
