Geeta is a Singapore based artist who has predominantly worked in theatre and films produced in Singapore.
She debuted on stage in 2010 with Ticket to Bollywood, a comedy drama by Playacting Drama Centre. She has since worked in over 10 Playacting Drama centre productions in the last decade most notably, The Silent Shadow, X at 40, Finally She Spoke, Unreasonable Feminist and For God's Sake. She has garnered recognition as an actress and build an appreciable body of work on stage cutting across comedy, drama, melodrama and socially relevant productions. She was one of the contingent team members who performed at the Women Economic Forum, The Hague, Netherlands in 2017. In 2022, she acted in her first Tamil drama, Mathrudakshina which was a part of Pathey Nimidham, an Esplanade Kalaa Utsavam project.
In 2019, Geeta made her film debut in the Tamil segment of the Shilpa Krishnan Shukla directed award winning anthology, Kathaah@8. She then went onto do a character role in the Malayalam film Neelambari directed by Aditya Mazumdar. In 2022, Geeta joined the cast of "Grand Sugar Daddy", a film directed by Aditya Kriplani. The film was screened at the Berlin European Film Market (2023) and boarded at the Cannes Film Festival Market (2024).
She loves to experiment with roles and was cast in Talia's August, a short film made by Ananya Angela Ram who is studying filmmaking in NYC.
Her debut film "Sous Chef" as writer, director is in post production. She is multi-lingual and has performed in English, Malayalam and Tamil productions.
Geeta is also a highly skilled corporate professional with extensive experience in Consulting and Sales.
